I read somewhere that a lot of black names actually come from Irish people, cause poor Irish and poor black communities were so close. Tyrone was the main example, it's supposed to be a popular Irish name. The moral of the story is they really do steal everything.
He seriously came out of nowhere. When Patrice died, Opie probably had an application for "designated black radio guy" the day after. The only thing that prevented him from handing it out to any black comic was ant. Then when he's fired he instantly interviews everyone. Norton doesn't even have any cellar history with sherodd. How else can you explain his so many appearances already when his first appearance was after ant got fired.

I knew he was black, I just didn't realize he was a comic.

Tyrone is a County in Ireland.

The closest I ever came was after my neighbor asked if I'd like to vote for him as county auditor; I said "Sure, Rod!"

What! When did this happen? Suddenly I am having a flash back to seeing the cover of the Thriller album for the first time.

Not only is he black, but also you can't forget the fact that other people are white!

He's a mutant ninja turtle who got too fat and boring to fight evil.

The power lies within the accusation and not the facts. Sir, prove that he is a black person, I haven't seen/heard any evidence to back this.
