The only reason today's TACS was alright was because Colin and Nick were there

Just you guys wait. Give Ant a week and he will be back to his own lazy ways.

Nope, Ant was clearly level headed, quick, and funny on this show. It wasn't just that the guests were good, he was on his game as well.

He was on his game because he had comedians there.

Agreed. It was refreshing to see and I hope it continues

Nah, Ant was pretty good today, and I've been as much anti-Ant as anyone on here for the past few weeks.

He wasn't obsessing over racial and political stories, he wasn't overly fake laughing at his guests, he wasn't staring blankly into the camera and mumbling about how he looks, he wasn't trying to push his agendas into the conversation at every opportunity and it looked like he at least did some prep-work - it wasn't just Rat pulling up an article and then Ant just reading the text to you, he just brought topics up and then discussed them with the guests.

He had two/three guests on though all show so it will be interesting to see what happens when he finally goes on his own again, he might just do an Opie and start packing the show with guests to deflect criticism and fill up time.

There's been a lot of Ant-hate on the sub, but if you can't just say when he has a good show, we're as delusional as TACSdiscussion not admitting when he has a bad show (or a few months of bad shows).

I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow's show with Ronnie B.

How long it all lasts is the question.

Was there anything during the episode that made watching it with video a must? Or should I be okay listening tomorrow at work w/ headphones? It'll be my first TACS since Blawby graced Ant's grotto.

No, nothing really that visual, they commented on a couple of pictures of Chris Christie when he was playing baseball and a picture of Amy and her politician cousin. But, you should know that for some reason Colin was randomly wearing large black Wayfarers for almost the entire time he was on. His sense of humour is the best.

Thanks. That's by far my favorite Colin Quinn picture ever. It's like he's mumbling the light off of his face the way he mumbles sound.

Do you have a problem with the fact that even from his new studio, he'll talk about race stuff some of the time? It's not going to go away suddenly.

I love that ants back in full effect and people can't handle it, lol

He's always better when he has a guest on, but even today, he seemed way more comfortable and the guests were way more comfortable.

I don't think doing a show from your house is sustainable. A proper studio is an asset.

Like others said, he's always as good as he used to be when there's at least 1 comic doing the show with him. I've said since before his show began I'd be really happy with 2 shows a week with a comic. I'd definitely expect him to suck for the other 2 if that happened, and I wouldn't complain. I was worried he would average about 1 show with a comic per week, which would be too little to subscribe, then it ended up averaging about 0.5 per week. Utterly atrocious. So I'm back to being optimistic again for 2 with him mere blocks away from all the comedy clubs.

I hope the motherfucker turns it around and has a consistently good show. I might even subscribe. However, all the praise on here is bizarre considering it was ONE show with Colin Quinn as guest.

P.S. I was lying about subscribing. I'm not paying 7 bucks for a podcast. Or even 3 podcasts. Not when there's so many others out there.

we are only one Ant Tweet away from the hate train beginning again.
