This is a good point. It definitely feels too public accessy but him having random fans in front of his face gives him incentive to be funny and would make it very awkward to go off on long hateful racial tangents. It could save his career.

I've been "all-in" with the Ant-hate as much as anyone these past few weeks - because he's deserved it.

But, if we can't admit when he actually has a good show, we're just as delusional as TACSdiscussion has been for the past few months.

I thought it was great, looking forward to Ron being on tomorrow.

His previous show from comic con with Billy West and Tom Kenny was good too. The keys to Ant's success seem to be:

1. Long Island "guinea trash" being out of his element (SiriusXM highrise, comic con, NYC studio).

2. Multiple funny guests with strong presences, at least one of whom he has some kind of history with (Billy West is a fan and that probably helped Tom Kenny get comfortable quickly).

3. A live studio audience to feed off of and help him gauge how entertaining the show is and avoid self indulgence.

4. Avoiding longwinded preachy monologues/discussions about race and politics. For example, Trump was discussed the last two shows, but it was all in fun with no agenda.

5. Avoiding awkward/boring staring-into-the-camera stuff.

6. Avoiding cheap stunts and eye candy guests.

Ive been very critical of TACS and most of the shows in the last few months have been beyond boring and lazy. But i gotta be honest todays show was really impressive. Great guests, good energy, not too heavy on the politics. Ronnie b will be in tomorrow. Hopefully ant can get a solid comedian guest in studio for at least a couple shows per week.

yes that was before LoS and Gavin joined the network. When they joined i decided to resubscribe for those shows. Before today I havent watched a full TACS episode in like a month.
