Does anyone else think having Sherrod on all the time is a slight to Anthony?

As in, Anthony got fired for an anti-black thing and now Opie all of a sudden makes some unfunny dud his #3 who is only on because of the color of his skin. I thought the same thing when DL hugley (who I also dont like) was on a lot after Ant got canned.

If it is, think how fucked up Anthony's career is that a "slight" to him is giving a black man a job

It's the very people who were responsible for him getting fired, one of them is now sitting in his seat.
I don't think its a coincidence, unless it's Opies way of deflecting the racism associated with Ant, "Look were not associated with that, we have a black guy on!"

How is Sherrod or any black person responsible for getting Ant fired? The people who fired Ant were the (presumably) white executives at Sirius. There was no public outcry for Ant's firing. No one really gave a shit. Sirius fired him relatively quickly. And btw, Ant is ultimately responsible for his own firing because he decided to make those stupid tweets. He knows better than anybody how sensitive the social climate is.

It's pretty twisted to blame black people for Anthony being fired. His white bosses at Sirius fired him. Any blogger that wrote about Anthony's original tweets were white. There was no Rev Al or Jesse Jacksons asking for Anthony to be fired. And Anthony himself sent out those tweets. A black person didn't grab his phone & tweet those things for him.

I didn't mean them directly, but whites were acting on behalf of blacks, or rather how they think they should act on behalf of them.

That's still whitey to blame

You're about as logical as one of Dani's tweets.

No, Sherrod is on the show because Opie desperately wants a black friend.
He tried to be friends with Patrice but Patrice wasn't no goddamn house nigga.

This seems more like an insult to Sherrod than anything.
But I don't believe it. Sherrod runs an interesting podcast with Kurt and it would be a great addition to any channel/network. I'm disappointed TACS didn't get Race Wars.

Jim, vos and small been friends forever. Good friends. Vos even said that small takes care of his daughter sometimes since he has a daughter too. He's on cause he's available, and funny. I'm sure Op pays him something, but most come on for self promotion anyways. He stated on the show that fox didn't want to pay him after 8 years of redeye, so he left. Adding racewars is a good step for Op. Sucks about soder and Jay, but good for them either way. Op likes mark normand also, I wouldn't be surprised if he offers something to him and Joe list for Tuesday's with stories, but list has already been on tacs more than Op. Lots of Sherrod hate, but the guy can hold his own and is on top of current events, has what seems like unlimited energy. Patrice would just take control of the room, just who he was.... Thats also why black Philip failed, 3 hrs of Patrice ranting. Rogan stated on the recent podcast with dipalo that Op is pretty much a genius by allowing anyone to take over and I gotta agree to a point. He also said ant inspired him to do the podcast.

I can't stand him. I don't even hate Opie that much but Sherrod has not said anything that didn't seem like filler.

Anthony got replaced by a black man.. the irony is there.

Your point would be well taken if they were having Alexander Chan sit in as third mic. As is, your point makes no fucking sense.

Probably not...I think hes just trying to distance himself from seeming "racist"(totally is).

Sherrod went on TACS atleast once, so I don't think that's the case. You can make the argument that Opie stole Race Wars from being on TACS network though.

Nah they're just scrambling for content and Sherrod is game to show up. I mean it's a good question, but i don't think any animosity between Gregg and Ant would go above how Gregg thinks the show should be run.
