A lot of people talk about the ball-washers on the TACSdiscussion reddit but when I check that site it's really critical of the show too. Most posts is how to make the show good. And according to Anthony, this subreddit is a cesspool. Is there any online community of overly positive TACS fans (besides storm front)? because Ant is very confident about the show but I see no one who is passionate & in love with the show. Most positive I see is "it's not as bad as people say. It's ok"

The difference is, being on Sirius, Opie doesn't have to give a fuck. He also has all different types of people listening because he is on a bigger platform. Someone with Sirius decides to see what "Opieradio channel" is all about, tunes in, think it's ok & send a tweet.

Anthony only has big fans listening. It is impossible to stumble upon TACS. If you subscribe you're used to hearing him better than he is now.

There was an upvoted post the other day about how Ant's podcast network is going to grow and compete with Sirius XM. They are ball washers, for sure.

It's because a) he doesn't give a shit and b) they word it so weakly that it doesn't even look like criticism by the time they're done with it. Honestly, guys, I can't seem to do well enough in life to acquire a pool, and I'm thinking about ending it all. I mean, I picked up a $300 above-ground pool from Walmart on my credit card, but it just aint the same.

Just like what many people said, Ant works best as the partner/guest to the host/broadcaster, and not the host itself. Just like how in sports commentating, you don't let the play-by-play guy do color commentary, and the color commentary guy do play-by-play - it'll suck balls.

Ant also opened himself up to getting direct feedback from the audience, something that is usually handled by layers of staff that will block off select feedback from reaching the personality - this is important since it goes to show that Ant can't take any direct conflict.

It's too much him. He doesn't divert douchey Opie to make jimmy laugh. He can't carry the show.
