Did Patrice believe in God?

I'm pretty sure I've heard Patrice refer to God in a way that made me think he may believe. I can't imagine such a pragmatic person seriously believing, but I don't really know. Did he ever explain his view on the matter on O&A?

Yes he did. He talked about it several times. He believed 100%. He didn't go for the whole church thing but he believed in God and Heaven.

Gtfo with your r/atheism shit

Yeah, believing you can be a civilized human being without a magic man in the sky helping you is an unreasonable and annoying belief. Also why would you bring up a topic like that on a Sub that consistintly talks about every subject on the planet. I'm with you mrta66, that guy was a real jerk.

Yahhh maaaaahhn you tell those fundies

He was shitting on r/atheism, not atheism.

For his sake I hope so. For your sake? Not so much.

HE DOES NOW. Woohoo Nascar and Bass Fishin'

I never thought of Patrice as having that purely calculating, Hitchens/Dawkinsesque worldview. That would require him to defer his thinking to some exogenous ethos instead of thinking exactly what he wanted to think at all times.

Even if theism seemed inconsistent with other stuff he believed, I think he would justify it with simply a shrug and a "fuck it."

Yes. But looking at his stand-up and overall meanness you would think he was not. I think Colin Quinn tweeted after his death something along the lines that he's up there bashing god or something. And he would get away with it too. As only he could.

Trick question; Patrice is God. Only a supernatural being could posses logic such as his.

Pragmatic person? haha

Patrice was god

I hate when people act like this when they find out that somebody isn't an atheist. "Huh... But you seemed so normal!"
