I don't get why "Ant hate = Opie love" with so many of you. It's possible to hate two ex partners independently. Heat on Ant does not equate to Opie gaining goodwill or some kind of "long con." PERIOD. sniff

Because Op was suggesting that Ant's behavior was evidence of him going off the rails/not dealing with his baggage.

That came across as petty at first. Even back then, Ant still had a thread of defensibility. When you cry and take a shot at someone, and they laugh it off and get on with their life, you look petty.

Now, however, Op gets ten points for foresight. Even if he just got lucky and wasn't actually predictive of Ant's recent kerfuffle, I feel like ya gotta give it to him. Also doesn't hurt that he's moved on from the whole thing. Ant just looks like a bully now.

It's popular to hate on Opie but I think he's always had a relatively good insight into the people around him. I think that's why he said his side of the story and just moved in. He knows Ant and knew he would self destruct given enough time.

Also, honestly, as entertaining as it was, I always thought the two-hour special report on "Greggshells" was going a little overboard on Ant's part.

Don't get me wrong, I fahkin watched the whole thing with popcorn. I also wanted to believe Ant was justified in doing it, since it was interesting/Ant was trying to kinda play the "straight guy" in that whole situation.

I just thought the whole act of setting aside that much time for it while simultaneously going, "JEEZ I DUNNO WHAT'S UP OP'S ASS!" was a little contradictory.

Maybe Op should have known better than to think Ant would go for the "let's grab a beer" move, but I don't think there was anything particularly absurd about him suggesting it.

If they werent supporting Opie there would be absolutely no reason to pay attention to any of this at all.

Anthony has become an arrogant, serious, one note douche after spending too long in a basement surrounded by cockstrokers. Still, he will never NEVER be as awful as Opie is.

My thought after Opie said that is "of course he's an asshole, it's obvious. But he's funny". Now Anthony is no longer funny. That's his biggest issue

That doesn't even matter. Anthony admitted to threatening this guy using his personal information on his show, all because he made fun of Ant. That's how the whole thing got started anyways.
