Jimmy is very busy and even though Ant isn't technically a standup comic Jimmy couldn't watch the full 9 minutes without running the risk of accidentally being influenced by the material so he had to shut it down.

On a side note: Patrice was talked about for never writing anything down and that was super impressive. People always talk about Luis CK being the guy who started the trend of throwing away your entire hour and starting fresh after you film your special. Seinfeld is talked about as a guy who uses clean material but chooses his words so carefully that he can tell the same jokes more than once and get different laughs each time. Carlin was always talked about for being super smart and political. Cosby (pre rape outrage) was always talked about for having amazing microphone technique and timing with his long stories. Jimmy SOOOOO desperately wants to be talked about with reverence as "the guy who doesn't even watch any other comics ever."

What the hell does Luis have to gain by bashing Ant? Luis is coming off arguably the most successful month of his comedy career and much of that has to do with Cumia.

eating your balls means the audience turns on you. that didnt happen, the audience at the time, especially luis who is on camera laughing hard at everything, is loving it. you can say it wasnt funny and youre probably right, but he didnt eat his balls if the audience was with him the whole time.

To the regular joes like you and me, Jimmy's got it made. But within his own industry, Jimmy is an abject failure. Nothing has caught on because he's just not funny on stage. I loved him on the radio and he was oftentimes the ONLY funny part of the show, but now that's all over. I gotta listen to clips on youtube like a shlub.
