Opie & Jim : Prolific Hypocrites

0  2015-07-14 by [deleted]

Eight years after the national media reported multiple serious & credible aggregations of rape against Bill Cosby by multiple women Opie and Jim left in the middle of their own show to meet and be photographed with Bill Cosby. Following their encounter with Cosby they spent the next segment praising Cosby personally and professionally.

Since 2014, when the exact same allegations against Cosby were thrust back into the spotlight, Opie and Jim have enjoyed nothing more than dishing out a verbal lynching on Cosby for alleged attacks which occurred decades ago. Whether it's a celebrity or a caller, anyone that questions the credibility of the allegations against Cosby get lynched by Opie and Jim too.

Although Opie and Jim take pleasure in holding Cosby accountable for alleged abuse that occurred decades ago and attempt to make it their duty to hold accountable those who abuse women regardless of how long ago the alleged abuse occurred.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The following guests of O&A or Opie and Jim have been arrested for domestic violence prior to their appearance on the show:
Christian Slater.
50 Cent.
Carmen Electra.
Chyna.
Nicolas Cage.
Tommy Lee.
Ozzy Osbourne.
Steven Adler.
Gary Busey.
Flavor Flav.
Dwight Gooden.
Terrance Howard.
Vanilla Ice.
Vince Neil.
Tito Ortiz.
Warren Sapp.
Tom Sizemore.
Slash.
Darryl Strawberry.
Scott Weiland.

How many times did Opie andJim ask about or even mention their arrest for domestic violence to any of these guests?
Once. They asked a woman, Chyna, about her acts of domestic abuse in June 2015.

No radio show has proven to be more welcoming and willing to give a free pass to those arrested for domestic violence than the prolific hypocrites known as Opie and Jim.

to be fair...none of the other people on your list have recently had it made apparent that they've raped women in the double digits.

I agree, but there are also different degrees of domestic violence...not that I want to minimize or excuse it on any level.

Mostly, the Cosby info is (to a lot of people) a new revelation, and more present in people's minds. Whereas it's easier to forget every time a b-list celebrity gets in a fight with a girlfriend.

Trust me though, if Bill Cosby wanted to be booked on the O&J show they would have him on in a second.

I think it shows consistency that they wanted pics with Cosby & politely interviewed those celebrities despite what crimes they have been accused of. The thing about Cosby is that it is a unique case. There is nothing else to compare it too. No other celebrity has had 40 women say that they were raped by the same guy. Then add in that his whole persona is a family friendly moralist? Any comparisons to Cosby just don't work

They just echo the popular sentiment these days. If there was an anti Christian Slater bandwagon to hop on they'd jump on it immediately.

What stance has Jimmy taken in the last 5 years that wasn't first figured out by some chunt on tv?

Based on your description, weren't all those listed above (and Tyson) held accountable by, or within reach of, the legal system?

Perhaps Cosby was better at selecting people that he could then intimidate, or who felt hopeless. Then, without the prism of the legal system there's probably a greater desire to judge that person yourself. In the other cases people tend to feel absolved from making personal judgments, probably rightly so if you want them to integrate and be productive members of society. The previously settled Cosby case might previously have been considered punishment that would render their further judgment redundant.

Wow. What fucking cunts they are.
