Who will risk their career to go on his show? He's saying some crazy shit on Twitter and apparently periscope. It's basically like going on stormfront.

He said on his Periscope the other night that both Colin and Amy are going to be guests in the new studio.

It's been made pretty obvious from the guests that he's already had on the show that it's either going to be nobodies or "friends" who he already has a relationship with.

No one who's successful with a decent publicist is going to near TACS unless their client is friends with Ant and they insist on doing the show.

Amy is busy apologizing for her own standup material at this point. Her publicist probably won't even let her enter Long Island just because Cumia lives there.

Amy is not going on Ant's show and Colin may not either. Ant has been toxic on Twitter and his show has been sub-par. I don't care about A-Listers, in fact I think they suck. But, I would like to hear people like Soder on the show. The problem is that Ant is bitching about Opie on periscope and bashing him on twitter. Opie has a right to tell comedians and Jimmy that it's OnJ or TACS and I think everyone will choose OnJ.

People forget that the true secret to good guests is that fat blob roland. When the bbbbboys had steve c doing the bookings it was a sea of d listers, porn stars, hypnotists, corey from australia etc.... and they were in the city when all of this shit guests went trough

I think their guests since the late 2000s have a lot more to do with the Stern Show being down the hall. Almost every guest who is B-List or above is a Stern leftover - including friends of the show like Amy Shumer who did a full interview on Stern, then dropped by Opie & Jim for just a few minutes. Roland can take credit for the cheeseball this week selling his "controversial" book and the retarded mumbling MMA fighters who would go on any show that'll take them.

i know theres a huge amount of hate towards roland for being a horrid fat blob of shit (probably a homo), but the guests really got a lot better after he got there.

And lately they are really milking him not only o&j live and die by the bookings but erock and sam DEPEND on it all 3 of the shows look really bad without guests. Sam more than others tho, the last time i listened to his show he was alone talking about obama doing funny noises and bees..... it was the dullest shit i have ever heard in radio.

Who even cares about guests when Steve C was doing funny production, giving us great moments like Ramone and Foundry? All the hysterical bear jokes and gay jokes, he was a brilliant punching bag and Roland is a weeping histrionic. Steve C was such an amazingly funny guy for the show.

He was around when the show was at its peak in my opinion. Do you want the show to be a media destination or a comedy show? I cannot believe you're calling out the "Corey from Australia" thing. That was amazing.

And keith is not only an unfunny shit character like roland, hes a bad booker too. Hes the worst case scenario.

I know, I hate Alfred Worthapenny, too. After he bungled the Bennington thing, I was so done with him.

That production was horrible. Steve ruined every joke with his over explaining narrative. The Vos piece from a Bronx Tale would have been great without Steve chiming in with those bad insults. Also the Patrice and Ant singing as deaf people would of been great if not for Steve peppering "shocking insults" in between.

It's way too early for this shit.

Why the hell do you people want mainstream guests? They say nothing different on radio shows or podcasts than they do on late night talk shows. They do not share their personal views or go into their private lives. They have a pre-planned, fully vetted script that the do not deviate from that they recite in order to promote their project the same way a politician seeking election does.

i think we just want better more frequent comedians. ive actually given up at this point, glad i never paid for it.

Who cares if he gets big celebrities? They have always been the worst segments on the show. The comedians and weirdos are the funny/interesting guests.

Yeh when they announce it's a guest heavy show, it's always dissapointing. Love it when they just sit around shootin' the shit all morning.
