I was thinking why don't we have a gathering of fans who dislike Opie. It could be similar to FrancesaCon for Mike Francesa. We could all meet at a bar or rent out a space in Manhattan. The event could be dedicated to bashing Opie. Fans could dress up like Opie to mock him. We could invite comedians and friends of the show. There would be live music and stand up comedy. Possibly a cover of "walking on sunshine" (greggshells). The selling point would be that the proceeds go to charity. I'm thinking the proceeds could go to breast cancer awareness or Patrice Oneal's family. I'm actually serious about this. Thoughts...

All conventions are for nerds who have given up trying not to be nerds. It's bad enough we spend as much time as we do here socializing with words on a screen. We need to salvage some amount of dignity.

I'd rather go back in time to when I was 1 and mail myself into a pedo fan club with a note on the parcel saying O&A specialist, crying means he likes it and wants more.
