You are right...to a point. Here's why I slightly disagree in this instance. Ant reads all the shit Opie gets...of course he does. So he would have known there is already a backlash for the documentary show before it's even aired. That's why to me this seemed slightly pandering and even a little cynical. Obviously that's just my own interpretation as to why this was slightly more shitty than say when he wore that garbage bag, which was funny.

He's like a broken bitch that still finds every angle to work in a shot at his ex when talking to friends. Only it's been a long time now, and only other broken bitches find it interesting.
It's a shot considering Anthony just acknowledged (yet again) that he visits this subreddit and sees all the hate Opie gets, and Opie has been shitted on non-stop for that documentary show he's doing, and now Ant add's his little 2 cents in on top of it.. it's a shot, albeit a pathetic one, but a shot nonetheless..
Truth be told - I only paid for TACS for the first 3 months. I never cancelled Sirius and I am still listening to Opie and Jimmy. Up until Ant got fired, I was pretty sure I liked him way more than Opie. As things progressed, I started to realize TACS wasn't as cool as I had thought it would be. I know everyone shits on Opie and I can't really provide a good defense to a lot of the complaints about him, but I still prefer his show with Jimmy by a pretty wide margin.
And yet they joined. Why? The ability to make a joke is under fire now. Non agenda pushing jokes are frowned upon. Ant provides an outlet due in part to his years of popularity to provide a wider and money making platform for comedians and thinkers to be themselves freely and without having to speak with a mouth of eggshells.

I'm not the biggest fan of that set up, especially every day, but the show with Bobby kelly and the mystery science theater show were awesome recent shows. The whole concept of doing a radio show about a subgenre of movie deserves to be mocked. Again, fuck Opie.
