So she's apologizing, and everyone says it's okay because even though we hate apology culture, you have to apologize. Yes, even though the whole point is to prevent needless apologies, do apologize, because that's just the world we live in, even though we're trying to stop it from becoming like that.

What???? What the fuck? It's the most enraging thing I've seen in I don't know how long. If it weren't Amy, who somehow gets a pass from all sides, this would be viewed much more negatively. Could you imagine CQ apologizing for something he says? I doubt he'd make such a shitty joke in the first place, but if he did, he'd be able to defend it (as he should).

This joke is easily defended. Easily fucking defensible joke, it's a silly childish play on racial humor. It's ironically racist. No one hears a joke like that and thinks, oh yeah, those Mexicans really do rape a lot, and this joke is making me believe it. It's a play on a stereotype. She clearly doesn't mean it. If she would've said that instead of this long grandstanding apologetic thing about how she's grown as an artist, maybe she would have a modicum of respect remaining from anyone with half a brain. Just because she's your friend doesn't mean you have to defend her at every goddamn turn. And really, Ant, does she give even a slight fuck about you or your show anymore?

Jimmy and Ant, as much as they talk, don't think for a fucking second about the opinions they hold and why they should hold them. Their principles melt in a heartbeat. How dare Ant blame people for not sticking up for him when he refuses to stick up for the principles which, when they faltered, resulted in his own firing. He should be chastising her for apologizing and being so weak, or just keeping his mouth shut. It's really disheartening, quite frankly, that anonymous internet assholes have better defenses for jokes and speech than professional entertainers do.

People used to fight and die in this country for the ability to speak freely. Nowadays the private sector threatens your ability to earn money and the respect of your peers, but it can be averted if you fight it. And still no one fights because it's easier to just apologize and move on. She talks about being such an important force for society, how about you fight for something important for once that doesn't only concern people with cunts. The more you apologize, the more you legitimize the opinions of academic shills who know literally nothing but intellectually bankrupt concepts like cultural appropriation and other such nonsense. It's sickening. Fuck Ant, fuck Jimmy, I'm done subbing to Ant after the Big Jay Roast (and LoS is the only goddamn reason I subbed to begin with).
