it's plain to see opie never reads and has always been fed through his televizor. he claims to like sports, if he read two bill simmons articles and cross referenced them with dictionary.com he'd be 100% smarter than where he started but as it stands he's an anthropomorphic torpid sloth.

One of the thousand things about Opie that bugs me is that he doesn't even seem to understand simple concepts in sports. When people ask him something about basketball (the sport he supposedly played) he never knows the answer, even if he did he wouldn't be able to articulate it.

Either Jimmy or Sam asked him what a pick & roll is so he confidently explained a pick & pop, he said Dennis Rodman (the undisputed best rebounder of all-time) was a "shitty rebounder", and when asked by Patrice why Wayne Gretsky was great he couldn't come up with a reason. I've never watched a full game of Hockey in my life and even I know that he has the most points and assists in history.

I was watching a Lionel video and he isn't bad outside of Opie Raqio, I do enjoy Jim putting him off balance but I digress, he discussed why sport talk is so popular and it's because nobody can lie about their knowledge, you either know or you don't. Most fans have adopted their preferred sports as religion and can easily sniff out a liar. Why Opie thinks he can bullshit on the topic is further proof he's severely mentally ill or retart'd. What life lessons can he possibly impart to that son of his.

Not only does he have the most points and assists, he did it the youngest, in the lowest amounts of games, etc. He holds or shares 60 offensive records in his sport. There has never been a more dominant firepower player than Gretzky in North American sport. There are hundreds of millions of people who know one thing and one thing only about hockey: Gretzky was a brilliant scorer.

Most of it went to old school radio - learning how to take calls, make stupid characters, run a sound board, etc...shit that isn't relevant today. And once he learned that, and then went on to become a millionaire, he never bothered to learn anything afterwards. Not that he could anyway, because that terrible old time radio shit is so ingrained in him that he can't get out of it.
