I wonder which model of film analysis OP & the Stangels will use for the Documentary show?

Knowing Opie and the Strangles, it is not going to be an A.V. Club style analysis of the technical aspects of film-making, subtext, and film history. It also has to be more than a two-minute thumbs up/thumbs down review of the film. So I guess they are just going to explain the plot (spoiling it for people who haven't seen it) and then pepper in commentary like, “remember when X happened?” "that part was crazy" "that part was BRUHTALLL" (adding nothing for people who have watched it). I cannot wait to witness this aural atrocity

P.S.: I would give anything for an hour long special of Opie attempting to explain the meaning of Mulholland Dr.

I'm sure the style will mimic the Dane Cook interview. Opie reading a list of scenes, while adding absolutely nothing. Only now, we have the brilliant minds of the Stangel brothers to help with the heavy lifting.

In the words of Jim, it's going to be a disssasssterrr.

I kinda hate hearing people talk about documentaries. I feel like most people just like the topic of a documentary so then they like the documentary.

When I watch a documentary I am always aware that it was edited & the people being filmed know they are being filmed. There are so many "documentary hack" stuff that no one ever calls out. Like a scene where someone says something serious & they hold the camera on them and let the silence play to show that they are thinking about it. Yuck

Shows what you know. The opster is a master host and commentator.

I mean jeez, by what some of you post you would think this guy got ice t and ice cube mixed up to their faces or something.
