• Opie obsesses with one or two specific things about every news story, film or topic he's ever discussed. He's clueless about everything else about that news story, film or topic.

• Opie doesn't fact check or further explore a topic. Therefore if he sees it in a documentary he believes it's fact.

• Opie often lies about actually watching the films he claims to have viewed but he always watches the trailer.

I guarantee his Amy Winehouse knowledge is about as pedantically comprehensive as mine: I had never heard her or had any clue who she was until she died famously. Also, I read a Grantland article last week that said the documentary was good.

The difference between me and Opie is that he did the same thing, but then called "Hope-He-Has-A-Patrice-Level-Stroke" Roland and got hisself an advance copy. And then he made a boring awful radio show out of it.

We can't assume this is just us. No one hears Tits continually ask every scientist or astronomer about the existence of a literal Christian God and doesn't think that he's the worst, dumbest person in the world.

Most dumb people are smart enough to realize they're dumb. Opie is not. He doesn't realize that he's too dumb to make anything but the most obvious observations that are completely spelled out in the documentary itself, so he's not actually adding anything when he talks about the movie. It's pointless to listen to him.
