The fact that derosa was somehow on the same program as the great Gottfried doesn't sit well with me.

Was catching up on recent LoS episodes this week, and in one of them they talk about how Joe is so thin skinned and how there's been times where he whined about jokes they made about him, and that he should have thicker skin. I think it was towards the beginning of the one with Vos and Ari Shaffir.

I think Ari said that he made a joke about that show Joe worked on in L.A. getting cancelled or something like that and Joe got all pissy-eyed about it. Hearing other comedians talk about him like that makes you wonder how he ever got as far as he did in the business.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've heard Joe mentioned on about 8 different podcasts, not ONCE in a positive light, every time was a joke about either him being a hypocrite or a crybaby, and the entire rest of the people on the podcast laughing at him. Not once did anyone stick up for him, and most of the time people piled on. None of his peers respect him, it seems like they only tolerate him.

Regarding Big Jay and LOS, that's not true at all. Jay has made fun of him multiple times for being thin-skinned and shoulderless, but he praises his comedy pretty frequently as well. All three of them seem to genuinely like and respect Joe.

I mean, hating Derosa is both a God-given right and a pleasure, but I have noticed that people seem to be going out of their way to misrepresent Jay's opinion of him.

It's 100% because Jay and Joe knew each other in Philly and Joe may have helped Jay get gigs and shit. That's why on LoS they all have to convince us Joe is funny. You never hear people trying to convince an audience that another funny comic is funny.

Well, in recent episodes, they knew whose network they were on and what the prevailing opinion among the listeners might be.

Still, what you're saying is certainly possible. People have bullshat about worse things to spare their friends' feelings. But to not even bring up LOS' friendship with Derosa seems like a deliberate effort to misrepresent them.

To be clear, I don't think the Skanks hate DeRosa. But I think they have more of an appreciation and personal connection to him and they see him in a different light than a casual fan.

I think the point of that phrase is that comedy often comes from having enough unnecessarily nasty shit happen to you that you're forced to cope with it by broadening your perspective on life enough to learn to laugh at it all.

I don't think the point is that being so self important, delicate and whiny that you have to have a doctor prescribe you drugs to help you get through a regular, reasonably comfortable life makes you a great comedian. Joe's the proof (if proof were needed) that that's not the case.

I had to work in Los Angeles for a few weeks and everyone I met who wasn't successful was on psych meds—and they talked about it constantly. Low-level showbiz girls (especially) would present themselves as a list of prescriptions and ask you what you take, like they were checking if your astrological signs match. Endless pill talk and "plastic surgery face" are the local weirdness there, like Texans wear ugly jeans and bitch about Mexicans.

I don't know man. I've had been prescribed anti-depressants, including SSRIs, for a couple different things. They really fucked with my mental well-being. They sure as shit did something to me. Enough of a mind-fuck I decided they weren't for me. Better to deal with that shit on my own.

Joe was always pretty damn enjoyable and funny on O&A. And he seems like a pretty good guy. The campaign against him is not warranted.

Artie Lange took what turned out to be a semi-infamous trip out to the west coast a few months ago, where he was basically constantly doped up on something: on Rogan, on Conan, and on just about every episode of his podcast that week.

His podcast episodes that week mostly consisted of him in a hotel room. One time solo, with his producer in the room, and sometimes one on one with another comedian.

The highlight of that week, imo, was the episode he did with DeRosa. They talked in-depth about some of their favorite movies, and you could tell they were genuinely happy to be in each other's company. It was a really sweet episode.

Joe clearly handled the Anthony situation, as well as the fallout from his reaction to it, very poorly, but I still feel bad for him. The most fucked up thing about the jackals who went/apparently still are going after him is they don't really care about Anthony. Not anymore. They just want a target for their bile.

Ironically, they're exactly like looters who use a "wrong" verdict to smash 'n grab, only here, it's the soul of a misguided, apparently fragile comedian.

Also, "vindication" is far too strong a word, but weighing things out now, I think Joe comes off a little better given what Anthony has become (more of/less of). What Joe did was still a dick move and he certainly should have handled it better, but it's not like the jackals were championing 90s Stern, or even 00s Anthony.

Joe Da' Roaster sucks, people often fear drugs like Adderall and Prozac may kill a persons creativity, in Joe's case there's nothing to loose so fuck it

If you don't have ADD, as I do not, Adderall is basically just speed. It's fucking awesome to take recreationally. Kind of like being on cocaine but smoother, without any paranoia. I do it once every couple months. I have depression (I know, call a wahmbulance). The problem with Adderall is that, like any stimulant you feel like utter shit the next day. All that seratonin released by the drug goes bye-bye and you need a day or two to recover. You can't fucking sleep on it, either unless you drink a gallon of vodka. I don't know why a doctor would prescribe him Adderall unless he has ADD.

Dexedrine is better due to the slow release and better makeup then adderall IMHO. I think with all these drugs the cost may outweigh any gain and there's no shortcut to hard work as these things advertise they provide.

You are absolutely right. As someone with ADHD I even take it on a biweekly basis. Not a big fan of taking a pill daily. BUT, there is no point to someone with ADHD taking this. The only reason I can muster up is that Joey-No-Shoulders is probably having some stage freight and this might help. It definitely does, but that's would be some questionable reason to prescribe it.
