Twitter's particular brand of social media is super lame. Everything about it is designed to encourage a weird form of content-free non-communication.

It's like dogs barking in response to one another. The only reason to do it is because it's there.

I agree with Twitter being lame. I'm 25 but I still just don't get it. There's no actual dialogue or thread to follow. You can see responses but it's not as easy to use as facebook. It's like posting a status on facebook and disabling comments. But the way these hens use twitter they try to have discussions is so confusing.

People don't care about other people on twitter, they just care about being seen by other people. It's the most narcissistic form of social media out there which makes sense why it's the most popular. At least with facebook you can choose your audience and it's mostly people you know.

I'm not trying to sound out of touch but I can't wrap my mind around how these old men got sucked in by this. They are absolutely obsessed at this point. Short of using it for promotion I fail to see the value other than using it to stroke their own ego by the numbers they get from it.

I use instagram and facebook exclusicely and not even really facebook that much anymore. I'm required to have a facebook to promote my DJ gigs otherwise I wouldn't even have one.

I totally agree, at the beginning they were mocking it (o&a) & the colin crew, now they are fucking obsessed with it. Colin uses it ironically and that's how he is the boss at it. Ant is launching his invansion of Poland on it and Opie is using is it as a stay at home mom. It really has been bugging me. I get promoting gigs and shit.

Do I agree it's a stupid fucking thing to be obsessed with? Yes. I hate it personally and I don't think it's done anything good.

Do I think it's good for people to get banned from it for having bad opinions? No. That's terrible.

Do I see why they fucking obsess over it? It's "the thing" right now. Famous people use it and not-as-famous people use it to feel more famous. #SensitiveOpie

Patrice was replaced with twitter. The past 4 years or so has basically just them talking about their twitter feeds as if anyone gave a fuck. Opie dosen't know how podcast or satellite ratings work so he judges his "popularity" by how many people react to his twitters. I stopped listening regularly a few years ago because every day was a 4 hour twitter commercial

Twitter is fine the problem is they obsess over it like teenage girls.

How anyone could be fooled into thinking Gavin is remotely intelligent, thoughtful or insightful in anyway is completely confounding to me.
