Remember when the Walking on Greggshells episode came out and suddenly, after months of monolithic hate on this sub, Opie defenders came out of the woodwork to say how shitty Ant was?

This is the only example I could find by googling "April 5 opie anthony reddit", where the top comment has like 10 collapsed replies defending the Opester. I remember thinking it was odd at the time that this sub would be flooded with totally uncharacteristic posts for a day or two immediately after that show, but did anyone actually look into what happened? Like was it a bunch of obvious shill accounts that existed for a week? Did this sub double in subscribers for a few days?

I ask this because, as we know from Gregg's twitter, he is willing to pay for social media support. Not chest support, for some reason, which he really needs, but twitter support, yes.

And the timing and content was just so suspicious, if all those accounts flooded a pro-Pepsi sub the day after Coke put out a press release saying "Pepsi is a thin-skinned, high maintenance diva who can't take a joke and puts all the people he works with on edge", that sub would then be full of comments saying "shill!", "r/hailcorporate", etc. But for some reason, when it happened here, everyone just looked around and went "that's weird" and forgot about it.

So did anyone actually look into this? Did people conclude that they actually were shills? Or did the...yuck... "Opie Army" show up here for one day and then abandon us for some reason?

I really enjoy the fact that I can come here every day and find that someone has been giving the Opie Problem some deep thought and research. I get off knowing that out there right now there are certainly hundreds probably thousands of us all working towards the same goal, The Final Solution.

I just wrote a grant proposal to start the Gregg "Opie" Hughes Breast Cancer Research Institute (or "B-CRI", after the tits' habit of leaking salty mik) so I can devote more of my time to research on tits, Greggopy Hughes, and the many ways in which those 2 fields intersect. If the federal government just gives me the 2 million dollars I axed for, I should be able to start covering tits full time, like a bra (which should be covering Gregg's tits full time).

I've clicked onto some of the people on Twitter that leave cringeworthy, baffling, supportive comments to Opie and there have been more than a few that either have no history prior or a timeline of nothing but O&A related comments. Impossible to speculate on each occurrence but I have no doubts whatsoever that there is an element of completely fabricated and/or paid for online support.

Or, rather than concocting delusional conspiracies, could it actually be because Anthony's show is not good and has gotten progressively worse? People can pretend it's the greatest thing ever, but it's really is not. Left to his own devices, and stranded out on long island without guests or a co-host, Anthony has gone to his natural place of nonstop race talk and politics. Its a total bore.

I know there are more examples because I remember when it happened, but I couldn't find any. And for some reason I doubt this sub has the kind of computer nerd fags that populate the other subs who can just make a program that searches through thread and account histories for shills. But im thinking maybe people have more examples or actually remember and know what happened
