So I'm listening to OpieRadio, and there are two guests on the show. Lazlow hasn't been on the show in years. The only reason he's on the show is because he wants to pay tribute to his friend who died.

I'm thinking, "this will be a good segment - I'm sure Lazlow has lots of stories to tell."

Instead, this is what I get:

  • Lazlow starts talking about how he interviewed Charlton Heston. Opie interrupts and starts asking about ear hair.
  • After diverting the discussion to ear hair, Opie plays a recording of Jim taking a shit.

WTF is this? I can understand that you might go to the shit jokes if things were slow, but Lazlow literally walked in the door and Opie cuts him off to talk about shit. Like, literally "shit"

Lazlow is Bizzaro Opie (or Op is Bizzaro Laz). The Lazlow show should have been syndicated daily, and should have gained more notoriety. Big Wayne was the star of the show (Laz said so himself). The mans stories were hilarious, real and at times "shocking". The show never felt like "Lets all laugh at the freaks" (Stern, Wack Pack, O&A, BoBo, Lady Di) Laz respected his friend and radio partner. Opie well...."Human Garbage"(same goes for Ant "Greggshells") Rip Big Wayne, only the good die young.
