Once again, Jimmy hating on something more successful than his career

Jimmy just hates shit just for the sake of it.

Don't agree with him on this one i take it?

I can't give less of a shit about the flag being there or not.

This is a pretty fucking easy one for someone to have an opinion, one way or the other.

But he goes out of his way to do this on any hot issue, always over the top angry.

It really only matters if you actually live in South Carolina, but every other faggot needs to have an opinion on something that doesn't affect them in the slightest.

Not that I love southerners or anything (you guys couldn't pick your own cotton? Come on) but I wouldn't expect a rootless Manhattanite to understand a love and appreciation for ones own homeland.

Many, many Flags have flown over southern states (6 in Texas and 8 in Louisiana). There's only one reason why anyone chooses to fly this flag. It is there right to fly it, but don't pretend it's a southern heritage issue.

Jimmy's argument fell apart when he said:

"Anyone who sees that flag thinks of the people who fought to keep slavery. You lost the war - take the flag down. It would be like us flying the British Flag after the revolution. You lost, go home and take your flag with you. I mean, sure the southerners are already home. They live in the United States. But, you shouldn't fly the flag you lost with."

Can these two not speak about hard hitting topics?

That's the problem with Jimmy, he's got to be so adamantly behind the "popular" movement and act so angry about something he honestly doesn't give a shit about. He can be just as fake as Tits.

same man who complains about fake outrage, hmm

Indeed.

SHIT I clicked an O&J clip

the ultimate sin

It's a fucking flag.

Every fucking flag that is more than 100 years old has fucking bodies behind it. The reason people are attacking/defending the flag as it get them 2 cunting minutes on fox/msnbc.

He's pumping things up for the raqio.

I agree with him but God are some of his rants devoid of humor.

It's a symbol of southern culture. But whatever, they'll probably replace it with a black panther flag.

Fight the power yo!

For real though they should take it down in public or state offices and let the crybaby hicks keep it on their own property if they want to.

I don't care about the Confederate flag (I'm from the Southwestern United States and my ancestry is Mexican, so my great-grandparents didn't give a shit about it either) but I don't care if it flies. It's a feel-good proposal to get rid of it, and won't change anything.

It will be removed though. Mitt Romney and the governor of SC have called for it to be removed.

Of course Jim hates it. He's a fame whore and has become pc.

From the point of view of the rest of the world the Confederate flag isn't all that different from the American flag. All the negative things you can say about the South you can say about the North too. It's representative of an aggressive, war mongering racist state that starts wars that it loses, but still won't shut up about them years later. If you asked anyone east of London right around until you get to Canada you probably won't find many people who think the differences between the South and the North are even worth mentioning.

Not me though. I'm all about 'merica

I mean, it was put up as a protest against treating black people like human beings. It's a symbol of racism. It isn't really up to interpretation. Unless you are one of those idiots that thinks the Civil War was about "States rights"

I mean, I suppose you can frame it as a conflict over states' rights, but the right in dispute was the right to own people: https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Bleeding_Kansas#Open_violence. Dave Smith made the "states' rights" argument on LOS a few weeks ago, and I was staggered by how wrong he was.

Opie can never have an opinion on anything controversial. "I don't know where I stand on this because I'm not from the south." And Jimmy is? You don't have to be from somewhere to have an opinion. Pandering ass.
