Just wondering, what was Anthony's stance on this shooting during TACS? I'm a subscriber but haven't been listening this week because I was on vacation. Did he turn it into an Obama thing?
His last show was Thursday afternoon (shooting was Thursday morning) so it was before a lot of details came out. He focused less of the racism angle, and more on the gun control angle.
He was basically arguing against calls for there being more gun laws needed, saying that multiple existing gun laws were already broken. Ant was working off reports at the time that the gun was gifted from his dad; these reports were later discredited and it turns out that the kid bought the gun himself with a proper background check.
It was a developing story at the time, so you have to give Ant the benefit of the doubt. Now that a lot more facts are known, I'm interested to here his take on Monday (as long as he keeps it under 20 minutes).
In the too close for comfort department, Anthony tweeted a complaint last night about people reading and analyzing the killer's manifesto.
If Anthony was still anywhere close to being on the media radar, Buzzfeed could do a quiz on the theme of "Who Said It, Anthony Cumia or Dylann Roof?" If any of you kept Anthony's old tweets, you might want to pitch that to @peretti.
Nah more like if Opie went schitzo, same haircut he used to have and about the same level of development. The misspelt words and awful grammar serves as proof. If you read the manifesto in perky buds voice, it's actually funny.
