Opie attempts a joke. A really good joke.

This happened towards the end of the show where they thought Jim Gaffigan passed on them (or the publicist did) for EW radio (who gives a fuck, really). Anyway, this is what happened:

Gaffigan is going on and on about how EW radio did not watch his show, that was delivered to them weeks prior. And he made a point of how if he went on a sports radio show, he would not expect them to have seen it but being that he went on "Entertainment Weekly", they should have, being a program built around the "entertainment" business. Especially if they knew they were going to interview him.

There's some in studio laughter and Opie, seeing a golden opportunity to muster up a deep joke from his comedic brain, conjures up this winner:

"it's Entertainment Weekly....NOT Yearly"

It got no laughs. Which I'm surprised because it makes total and complete sense. Obviously the punchline the entire time was how it's a weekly program, not a yearly one. The Entertainment part of the name is inconsequential.

He really is a genius.

I heard it, the joke attempt only proves he completely missed the point that Gaffigan was trying to convey. What an autistic point missing ass.

I feel like you're being sarcastic.

I didn't think it was as funny as you found it to be but I do value your opinion.

I despise you for "amusing" we'd know what "EW" meant.

He "amus[ed]" the fuck out of that shit

PECKAHHHHHS

TAKE US OUT YOU FUCKIN PIG

Honestly I'm not even sure how you guys zone in on most of this. I just space out past this shit for the most part.

Remember how he said "Crafting" a tweet, emphasizing the "f" in "Craft"? That's what I think of when I read this. ME: Gonna get into that JOKE thing! Gonna...gonna think up some...think up some jokes....

And emphasize the "ch" in "jokes"

Sir, you need a hobby.

Please send me an approved list of hobbies.
