What Not to Write About TACS

My experience interacting with the folks who worship at the church of /r/TACSDiscussion over the past 24 hours has been quite enlightening.

I wanted to share some takeaways from that experience in hopes that it might allow folks here at /r/OpieAndAnthony to better understand the parishioners of the church of TACS.

Things that are completely acceptable to write about TACS that, based on no one challenging them, are accepted as true:

  • Insinuating that TACS is "the radio version of Stormfront"

  • Referring to /r/TACSDiscussion as a "cesspool" and those commenting there as "vile, subhuman trash"

  • Stating that a large number of TACS listeners appear to be "consumed by their own racism"

  • Proclaiming that Anthony has become "obsessed with and paranoid about race."

  • Mentioning that "Anthony is just as delusional and desperate for attention as Opie."

What NOT to Write About TACS:

  • That "Anthony's reputation and audience size has steadily declined."

I'd highly suggest to avoid using anything from the "What NOT to Write About TACS" list in your posts and comments as it will absolutely result in the parishioners from the church of Cumia to come out in force fiercely defending Anthony. In many ways their desperate actions remind me of Hitler in the Führerbunker in April 1945, delusional and desperately trying to convince themselves that there is still hope to turn things around.

• Hate is supposed to be fun. Make jokes not lists. If your hate premise doesn't allow you to be funny, drop it. Something about it is fundamentally wrong.

There have been numerous truly sub par episodes in the shows history. That is more than fair to say. Race talk etc

However, this past week on TACS has been the best in its history, in my opinion. Real comedians, real laughs and behind the scenes drunkeness etc

As long as your opinions are up to date and relevant, fire away! If they are based on the birth of the show I think your opinions are misleading
