A lot of O&A listeners were former Howard fans who stopped listening when the show stopped being funny and went more mainstream. That's exactly what Opie has turned his show into. After years of criticizing the Stern show it would be hypocritical to not criticize Opie's show for the same shit, and at least Howard can make a point, conduct a decent interview, and occasionally make a somewhat decent joke.
I never really hated Howard, just stopped listening because he got lazy, full of himself, and thought he was better than he really was.
Same thing could be said by many about Opie now, it came full circle.
I used to roll my eyes when they would do an hour or 2 Howard bashing breaks every day on early xm. Just like the Apology clock and Lady Di, repetitivness gets old.
What's wrong with liking Stern? O&A had better comedians and less narcissistic hosts, but Howard has way better freaks and retards. The Wack Pack (Eric the Midget calls, Beetlejuice, etc) blow Bobo and Stalker Patty out of the water any day of the week. Both shows have their strengths.
