Ronnie was indeed a junkie at one point, doe. I heard him talk about being dopesick with Dr. Steve, and it was pretty obviously genuine, like I can tell he actually was a heavy user of opiates for probably a decent amount of time.

I dunno if he shot or smelled them, or if it was actually heroin or pills, but his tales were very realistic and if anything he was downplaying his problem. This is of course in contrast with Jim, who plays up and exaggerates his drinking and drug history because he wants to seem like the "troubled, self-destructive artist" type to anyone who doesn't know any better, and is a transparent phony to those who do. In short, Ron's the real deal
