I wanted to like this but I physically can't.

Cokelogic, figure out a way to make your animation less atrocious. This is all you do, and you haven't improved at all over years. It's not charming or funny, it's sick and sad. You can't have animation that gross and shitty and then have awful writing. If you're going to pull melted mannequins around a stage with old maritime ropes, you'd better not be playing Rich Vos reciting A Bronx Tale over the speakers.

You're a grown man making Angela Anaconda, get better or die in a cave for the love of fucking christ.

I don't have any problem with the animation style. There's tackier stuff on TV and most animated webseries (webtoons) look like cave paintings from hyperactive yet dull-witted neanderthals.

But it's literally 40 seconds before ANYTHING happens. This is the internet, man. I dont want the video to be much more than a minute and change and you're blowing 40 seconds on credits and corny establishing shots!

I don't have any input after that because I stopped writing to type this.

I agree with all of this, except to say that even the shitty Adventure-Time-style shows these days are still trying to capture some sort of fundamental humanity and movement and energy that is nightmarishly lacking in these.

I don't disagree (except for the fact that I don't think anything about AT is shitty). Dr. Katz and Life and times of Tim both were comedian/dialogue driven shows that loooked like ass and no one cared because they were funny enough to distract from the lack of movement/humanity. So that's (to me) more important than the look.

First off, I think this is too polite a conversation to happen in this sub, so let me start by saying if your mom isn't a dead nigger she ought to be an alive gypsy which is 1000x worse. Gas the kikes, race war now.

So anyway, here's me thing. You're right but I think your examples still had a style that pushed humanity rather than human duplication. It's the Bicentennial Man problem. Or an "Uncanny Valley" thing people hated about Polar Express. It's like the closer you get to actual humanity, the farther you get from it.

It's like there's Romanticism and Expressionism and anything in between is shit. I tend to agree with this.

So cokelogic, he exists between those worlds. He wants photographic images and textures and eyes from this real world using photos and stock images, but he wants to couple it with unreal shit and to join it all together in an artificial way, like an Uncle Paul version of the first season of South Park would be. Like a cenobite version of Simpsons.

This is my favorite post in this subreddit ever.

This was the last time it was used well; at a distance.

It kinda pissed me off when Opie talked about how "My kid is into stoner cartoons! It's a STONER CARTOON!" Ugh.

Meanwhile Ant's immediate reaction was "is this post apocalyptic?" and "I'm getting a hipstery vibe." Absolutely correct on both comments.

I once tried a Chip joke in the AT subreddit.

Very quickly downvoted.
