First of all I am just curious where all of these people who seemingly never even listed to O&A in their lives are coming from. Why are you flabbergasted and so upset by Anthony's views like we haven't known about them since very early on in the show? Does this subreddit just go through waves of what it is that gets upvotes and everyone has to take part in it and those who don't get downvoted? From Opie's Tits to Joe Derosa hating jews, there is always a similar theme that everyone upvotes the fuck out of and then it dies off, and you all move to the next thing which you all decide to go with like a fucking swarm of bees or ants. It has now gone full circle from anti-Opie, to anti-Anthony, next it is going to be anti-Jim and eventually there will be no more people to hate together, but still you will all be posting.
Now about Anthony's "Racism" which I don't get why you people who used to listen to O&A are so angered by. A lot of you claim it is because that is all he talks about now but then you are going to have to pretend that the whole "Racist White cop kills unarmed black choirboy" isn't the only thing the Media is trying to sell these days. These stories which either are wrongfully demonizing cops and saying they are evil racists or siding with black criminals who do something wrong simply because they are black, most of the time both. Let's not mention all the riots and other shit in between. This is what is in the news and has been since Anthony started his show, that is why it is such a hot topic. If a new race-based story came into the news on a weekly basis while O&A were still together the rhetoric and the time spent on it would be exactly the same and none of you would have said anything about it. It only seems like he spends so much time on it because he isn't doing a 4 hour show like he used to. To say he is a racist is ridiculous considering he has always been able to judge black people as individuals and connect with them like Patrice for example. That isn't a racist. Also everything he has said about the "Black Community" have been completely true and he has had black people like Tommy Sotamayor on the show who say the exact same shit about the culture of crime in the black community, illegitimacy rates etc. I guess in this new era of "Racial Discussion" actually mentioning these things even though completely real makes you a racist. That is what is so surprising to see from apparent O&A fans. Some of you are even leading a crusade against the term "SJW" to continue on your hivemind circlejerk unopposed.
Oh and now apparently everyone hates Gavin and his "torpid-sloth" line which this entire subreddit went crazy for is now the worst line ever? What the fuck?
tl;dr this subreddit is very cult-like and is full of mentally ill people who are constantly trying to find something to hate and as soon as another person has found it, they drive it into the ground. At this point you must all be confused as to why you ever even liked O&A. Kill yourselves.

The race stuff may be hot for the news to cover, but I want to laugh. Just because it's all the news talks about any more doesn't mean that Ant needs to cover it too. We know his position. It hasn't changed one bit since Obama got elected and he started going down this rabbit hole.
I never listened to O&A to hear hours of politics and racial discussion. It sucked on O&A and it doubly sucks now since he's by himself, living in an echo chamber with Keith. He stares at the camera, talks about race for 2 hours, makes a couple of jokes here and there, and that's it. It's just boring. He's become a paranoid old man and he has no one to be funny with.

Anyone who listened to O and A knew what Ant was. Ant was very racial and very right wing in his opinions that he shared on O and A and other venues.
So no one who is familiar is very shocked. But that doesn't mean that you can't disagree with Ant on things or not find Ant's commentary on those issues entertaining if you agree with him.
I agree with Ant on some stuff and disagree with him on other stuff. But that doesn't mean I want to hear his political take on a show that is comedy driven and once did WOW.
Anthony was always most entertaining on O and A when he was talking about things much less political in nature. Now that doesn't mean politics and social issues can't get talked about but for a fan of a product to think there are more interesting avenues to go explore isn't a idea that goes against the guy.
Simply put I think some people love Ant when he was pulling out obscure movie and TV references, talking about his messed up past, shooting the shit with Jimmy, and being the Ant that we all knew and loved pre-Obama.
That guy was funnier and more entertaining than the funny Rush Limbaugh that he can be at times.
