We all disagree on a wide range of subjects on this subreddit and call each other vile names in the process, we got Opie defenders, Ant ballwashers, people who want them to unify again, Sam haters/ lovers, Burr/Louie lovers and detractors.

But what warms my heart is the fact that the many "factions" that exist on this board agree that the Stangels are fucking awful.

Thankfully they are morbidly obese and will die soon.

The worst part is one of them is unnecessary but paying two of them is fucking crazy.

theyre taking over opie radio. they HAVE to be. management likes hacky shit but theres NO way any higher-up in radio would see value in anyone as incompetent as opie. and theres no way opieradio is doing well with maintaining the listener count o&a had. hiring the stangels is a slow, strategic way of fixing a problem.

I don't understand why they're there

Their job for the past 20 years have been WRITING bits. Now that their job doesnt involve writing (opie still hasnt cracked a joke since their hire, so I guess they really arent), they dont know what to do so they "write(make up)" stories to tell on the air as their idea of a good comedy show. it couldnt be more obvious they just learned that australia has a different version of "911" and thought it would be funny if someone needed to call 911 over there and didnt know that, so he wrote a quick skit/bit about it. what was once Opie and Anthony is now literally two fat jews making up stories.

I don't still listen, I just sub to here mostly to see how bad it gets.

I trust all the analysis of how terrible it is, and I guess my question is why do people still listen?

I love the commentary, I'll get on board with the hate and I don't disagree, but really there are so many better things to listen to. I'm sure if even the die hards left this show would be on its last rickety legs.
