I like him on Race Wars. He's a little loud and talks too much sometimes but he's definitely funny and smart

Yeah that's what had me looking forward to today but I just re-listened to the last hour and he had a pretty awful appearance. Its like he was mimicking Jim saying things "stink" and over laughing at Jim's jokes.

Another comedian that's not as bad as he sounds on the show.

He kinda is that bad though. He's like the black Jim Norton: Been in the game 20+ years, has had pimp spots in line-ups all throughout NYC for much of that time, all kinds of opportunities to really breakthrough in a big way, and yet you'd be hard-pressed to find two people who know his name in a group of fifty. Just a middling comedian who was probably the funniest kid at his lunch table and not much more.

Godfrey and Sherrod have to be some of the worst black comedians to ever come out, especially when compared to Patrice.

Sherrod has some great lines every now and then and Jimmy seems to feed off of him better than a lot of the comics in studio. I don't mind him once every week or two.

Godfrey is an interesting Race Wars guest with all his Black Panther material but he has no chemistry with Opie and Jim whatsoever. Sucked when they had him on way back for Ant's birthday too.

Sounds like O&J just makes everyone worse than they actually are just for being on it.

Godfrey isn't crazy popular but he's a great somewhat veteran of standup, I don't know if he necessarily needs the little amount of promotion and help o&j gives them, at one time an o&a boost as a known thing and helped a lot of guys get enough people showin up at shows so they can get bigger succes and take off, o&j can't possibly give anyone that boost, the fan base isn't the strong loyal crowd it used to be, i wouldn't want the opie Twitter fans showing up at my comedy shows if I did standup

Godfrey and Sherrod both aren't my style. But they've been at it for so long and a lot of people seem to enjoy them. maybe I'm wrong.

It's funny how the show used to introduce the audience to amazing comics that became patron saints to the fans, but now all that happens is people slowly begin to hate them with each appearance.

People turned on Dan Soder for Christ's sake. Soder's whole thing is that it's almost impossible to hate Soder, but Opie is so terrible he managed to make it happen.

Comedians aren't paid to appear on O&J, and at this point I severely doubt that they're getting any kind of fans from it, what is the benefit for any comedian appearing on O&J? Something to do?
