Opie called Doris Burke a "bimbo" on twitter. What are you going to do about it Reddit?

I'm sure MANY people would be highly offended that Opie referred to female NBA sideline reporter Doris Burke as a bimbo.

It's more offensive that Opie thinks he knows more about the game of basketball than Doris Burke.

Doris Burke really is my favorite of the lady sportscasters, too. I didn't watch the game so I didn't know this was the "bimbo" in question, but Doris is a pro who knows her shit.

knows her shit.

She really does. He couldn't have picked a worse person to shit on.

She played as a point guard at Manasquan High School.[4] She was recruited by several eastern colleges

[She] was a member of the Providence Friars women's basketball team, again as a point guard

During her senior year, [She] led the Big East Conference in assists.[4] She was a second-team All-Big East player once and twice made the all-tourney team of the Big East Women's Basketball Tournament.[3] As a senior in 1987[4] she was the college's Co-Female Athlete of the Year.

In 1999, Burke was inducted into the Providence College Hall of Fame. In 2003, she received from USA Today a Rudy Award as the Best New Face in Sports Television.[1] In the spring of 2004, she was honored with induction into the Institute for International Sport's Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame, and in the spring of 2005 Providence College awarded her with an honorary doctorate degree. In October 2006, she was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.[2] Also in 2006, she became a member of the North Providence Hall of Fame. In January 2012 she received the Silver Anniversary Award in recognition of her myriad athletic and professional accomplishments from the NCAA. In 2012 she called the Big East tournament and was a reporter during the championship game

he's such a guy's guy, a real MAN'S MAN

Hey, he could've gone pro if he was just a little taller. I think he knows what he is talking about.

ME: "What's the ABA...?"

Let's make Opie famous

I'm more offended that he refers to himself as a radio personality

SHE'S JUST A BASKETBALLL HOOOOOOOLLLEEE MAAAAANNNN.

That's EDGY tweeting. So EDGY!

Maybe I'm being sexist.

But basketball hole seems accurate.

Shit, I need to rethink this. Maybe she actually does have value and I just dismissed it naturally, because I can't think of why I dislike her other than her vagina being in a man's sport.

Make a picture.

Up top: screenshot of his tweet.

Below on the left, labeled "Opie" (in quotes), an Opie pic that captures him right at the corner of "douche" and "tits" (crop of this one?), a summary of his career (highlights: "making strippers cry on the radio," cake stomp, failed viral basketball video...).

On the right, labeled "Bimbo" (in quotes), Doris Burke looking all Today's Competent Woman, impressive list of her basketball accomplishments.

Post around. Start with r/cringepics.

Thread title should note that this hypocritical SEXIST OUTRAGE is the work product (it says "radio" right on it) of an employee of Sirius XM.

Godspeed.

Instead of writing all that you could have just done it
