You know what Jimmy's problem is?

His speech is too deliberate and even, due to spending most of his career on the radio. I'm watching/listening to his recent appearance on Rogan's show again and it finally jumped out at me since I'm watching it off and on. His facial and physical expressions are so wild and sometimes bizarre but his speech is so comparatively flat that it's fucking unnerving. That's why his standup feels so lacking and awkward.

He's got a blinking problem that takes me out of anything he especially acting like on Louie. On the radio though he's one of my favorites. I think that blinking thing has hurt him a bit.

Is the blinking thing similar to a stutter? Is it a facial tic or something? I've never seen a compulsive blinker besides Jimmy. He's a strange little man.

Maybe it's from tranny piss

He really does adopt a weird tone and expressions when he's trying to make a point or on another show trying to make a good impression. He also always drops a tranny joke which the host always laughs at and find him quirky and delightfully pervish

That's not his problem. His problem is he's just too much of a cutie.

You know what Jimmy's problem is?

what is, peckers.

You've got the unnerving clash between his voice and expressions down but I really don't think it's all due to his time spent talking on the radio. On the show his voice is less deliberate and even than it is on other people's shows or in his stand up.

I'd put his off-putting awkwardness down to the him just being completely uncomfortable outside of his comfort zones. I have the exact same problem and it's fucking hard to get over even if you're aware of what it is.

I have one or two small groups of people I know will 'get' anything I say. That I don't have to be afraid of saying something wrong to or acting too strangely. In these groups I'm very expressive and am constantly crackin' everybody in the fockin place up. Outside of these few little groups I'm a stutterin' mutterin' prick and everything from my voice to my mannerisms just gets far more awkward and off putting.

I just think Jimmy needs to be in an environment in which he knows he's safe to just go with whatever comes into his head without everybody thinking he's just a creepy weirdo. I think his stand up and his Vice show and whatever else are so awkward precisely because he's too self conscious and trying too hard not to be off putting and awkward in front of 'normal' people he feels no connection to.

He just doesn't know how to be natural in front of a large crowd/cameras. He's miles funnier in smaller club settings; there's something about performing in a theater that flips his DANCE MONKEY DANCE switch.
