The Stangel brothers took Letterman's ultra relevant show and turned it into a show for old people who fell asleep with the TV on. So many people in comedy talk about loving early Letterman. I always found Letterman himself great as an interviewer and a witty guy, but I found the show and Paul Schafer to be absolute shit.
