What was painful this morning was right at the beginning AND end of the show when he was trying way too hard to have a hard laugh with Jimmy like he used to with Ant. McTits' fake laughter sounded so forced.

If he says something funny, he will stretch it for way too long. Repeat it a couple times, tries to add a tag that bombs, etc etc.

That's one of the things I find funniest about him.

I loathe the unnecessary Opie hate, but this is a valid criticism. Listening, I just want Opie to let it ride, but he can't help but pile on and make it awkward. Despite popular opinion, Opie is very funny. He just doesn't know how to deliver.
