Sam did spend some time in the barrel. They called his mom dirty words, accused him of being a mulatto, named his aftershow "The Shit Show", and jocktobered his breaks from the music channel.
It's a fact that when Sam & Jess were dating and Jess & Lynsi became friends because their "Men" were friends, Jessa mentioned to Lynsi that She is uncomfortable with Sam having to be put in the barrel per say. So Lynsi told Grandpa Opie who made it so Sam never had to do anything crazy for the show anymore. The thing that annoys me is not only was Sam excluded from doing anything fucked up for the show but that when Opje basically made him 3rd Mic and he thought he was one of the On Air Talent. He would even answer questions from callers when they called in with a question for one of the real stars of the show. That HAD to piss off Ant & Jim!
Another thing I can't figure out is once Sam became Opie's Bottom Bitch, he was always the first person to volunteer everyone else to eat something nasty, or take some shitty challenge, which was usually Erock. And not one time did Ant or Jimmy ever say
"Why Don't You Fucking Do Something For Once?" I never understood that until later on. Can you imagine the wrath Ant & Jimmy would have occurred if they would have even suggested Sam to do a stunt, or made him look or feel stupid in any way? Opie wod have cried backstage for a week!
They Jocktobered his show as a good because Sam Jocktobered a Show that were Huge O&A Fans, so Opie felt bad half way through.
Other than that, they let him talk shit about every other radio show in the country and point out anything hacky and make fun of it as if he's above all that stuff.
Does anyone remember the time they had a segment where they ate disgusting food? I think it might have been boiled. Everybody on staff tried some except for Sam, including all the behind the scenes staff. And as usual, Not only was Sam not eating any of it, he was trying to get the staff to eat more & more while laughing. And finally Ant told Sam to eat it and of course Sam laughed it off, because he was sure Ant didn't really expect one of the stars of the show to eat that shit.
Finally Ant snapped and was obviously annoyed and basically told Sam what we all wanted to him. He said you ways want everyone else to contribute doing nasty shot but you're the one who doesn't contribute shit.
It really got real when Ant said "I'm your fucking boss to and I'm telling you to Fucking eat it!" It got really awkward and Sam started laughing it off like him & Ant were doing a bit and then ate some.
