When he was talking about it on the show I thought it was Burr also, but when I saw the episode it was totally a Jay Mohr-type of role. But the way both Louie and later Opie talked about it made me think it might have been a bigger actor.
Louis CK probably put him on the pay no mind list after Jay got his panties in a bunch after Louis and Ricky Gervais took over the studio when he was on the show.
It's funny you said that coz on both Mohr & Burr's podcasts they have each talked separately about auditioning for the same roles as Michael Rappaport. I'd think Louis would go for a more dramatic "tough guy" actor though
