I am fascinated by this pigmonster and I simply cannot comprehend how a person can be quite so stupid without some medical excuse. Marion's idiocy seems easier to write off as just coming from a stupid person, because for all intents and purposes she is a functioning person. Di on the other hand is something else.
I realise that I am unlikely to get any decent responses, but does anyone have something approaching a professional opinion on just what kind of retarded she is? Is it simple stupidity? Is it the autism? or is it a defense mechanism that stems from a really, really fucked up childhood? If anyone can shed some light with something a little more substantial than "drunken mess" i would appreciate it.

That's happened many times since Lady Di resurfaced (probably because Opie wanted to re-add her to the show as a go-to bit) in 2013. Same thing with Bobo.

Everything she does is typical drunkard/addict behavior. She just has a REALLY bad drinking problem and is probably stupid on top of that. It was brought up that she was irresponsible with her money when she was younger, so maybe there is some deeper issue, but who knows really. Her brain is broke at this point. Also people have speculated that she was raped in the navy.
