Jim: "I know! The craziness of that."

I heard that too. When Opie finally realized what Jim was referring to he said "I did my 20 years"... ugh

Because that shit sucks
3 KenFrezno 2015-05-06
More proof Opie never got "the hang". It was always a job for him, while it was fun for everyone else.
-2 ChrisPrider 2015-05-06
I don't think that's the case at all. If anything it was more of a job to Anthony. Opie keeps saying that not being friends with Ant off air for the last decade was hard on him. It was Ant who was fine with pretending to "hang" on air because it was their job.
9 KenFrezno 2015-05-06
No, Anthony clicked with Jimmy and everyone on staff, joking and laughing his ass off daily. Tits on the other hand was there just to calculate how to maximize viewers on his various viral garbage and how to keep numbers up so that he could squeeze more bucks off his next contract (that Ant and Jim with their jokes would carry for him).
0 ChrisPrider 2015-05-06
I'm just going by what these guys have said about each other and their relationship. Anthony did not like Opie and refused to try to repair their relationship despite the fact that he wanted to continue doing radio with him.
Opie on the other hand wasn't comfortable working with someone who despised him. But I don't think that Opie didn't understand that the show sounding like a "hang" was what made it great.
7 Weirdfellas 2015-05-06
Anthony never once said he didn't like Opie, or make any inference that he "despised" him, so I have no idea where you're getting that from. 'In the end,' Opie is the one that literally said the words "I don't like you, Ant."
2 KenFrezno 2015-05-06
What you're forgetting is Anthony had friends to have fun with in Sirius XM, Opie does not.
39 JMueller2012 2015-05-06
How does someone not have the self awareness to not say something like that? Knowing if they did it will reach thousands of people who will judge him as a hypocrite?? God, he's so fucking hateable, and the worst is that he GENUINELY believes that he isn't. Please die Gregg
21 breadmoccasin 2015-05-06
All he had to do, all he had to do, was make a dumb fucking joke. Or even just say "Well..." and laugh. Instead he takes it personally and defends himself. Isn't this supposed to be a comedic program?

I like how Opie and Jim still feel as though they have the capability to criticize people on free speech, and standing up for it.
They are shameless fools

Jimmy hinted at the joke 2 or 3 times before he finally just came out and said it. Each time it went over the Opster's head. Much like his tits do when he bends over.
14 Blurgette 2015-05-06
Wow. Who was Opie talking about?
18 Trick_Trickerson 2015-05-06
The Gallagher brothers, of Manchester, England. They received international fame in the mid-'90s as a part of the popular rock band "Oasis." Their relationship has been a series of ups and downs since, with both of the brothers often refusing to perform together or reunite creatively.
Does that answer your question?
11 Blurgette 2015-05-06
It certainly does!
8 kevin_k 2015-05-06
Oasis

ME: What do you mean, I did my 20?
Like working a board and stepping all over jokes is doing his time.
10 BeerCanThick 2015-05-06
He makes it sound like a multimillion dollar, wildly successful partnership with Ant that got him a beautiful wife and a gorgeous mansion in Manhattan was like doing 2 decades in San Quentin on a murder rap. Was he scratching off the days of his "twenty" into the wall with a sharpened spoon?
5 Gnu_Mutant 2015-05-06
A sharpened plastic yogurt spoon.
4 kevin121312 2015-05-06
exactly!
7 sanfrancisco69er 2015-05-06
If he was talking about oasis, and said "i did my 20" then that's pretty stupid because oasis were together for 20 years, too.
9 Flobsen 2015-05-06
He didn't leave money on the table though. In fact he makes more now than if he had continued with ant. He is still a retard.
6 DapperDan0979 2015-05-06

6 lunchboxg4 2015-05-06
Then why did he choose to stay with him? Why has he been to Opie's new apartment? Why did he mention they did stuff together at his gig this weekend? This tortured Jimmy fantasy is just silly and baseless.
3 NerdConvention 2015-05-06
Let them have their fantasies, don't think some of them have much else going on.
6 blackirishlad 2015-05-06
i just love the "what?"
how could anybody back him up? who could support a man that fails to comprehend what the guy across from him is saying on a regular basis? who the fuck could do a show with a guy like that?
it's SHOCKING the things that pass by opie, not all of them relating to him personally.
5 AntsCamera 2015-05-06
Jim should be the patron saint of this sub.
This is yet another in a long line of covert on air jabs at Opie. Jim does it in front of him, on the show.
Opie is so self conscious, because he is aware of what we say, that he backs off.
5 opieanthonyjim 2015-05-06
How does Opie not see the hypocrisy lol. He's been driving this point forever when Oasis comes up, but after what's happened, he can't make that point anymore.
4 snoopkhat 2015-05-06
Ant hears this shit,thankfully.
Oh,im sure they will get back together any day now.
3 Libshitz 2015-05-06
This was amazing
2 BetterknownasPete 2015-05-06
I never thought that Sam would become more entertaining than Opie or Anthony... What's this world coming to!!!
2 Dennyisthepisslord 2015-05-06
I wish they could of got the gallaghers on o&a fucking hell that would of been amazing. Noel is great at radio he used to be a regular co-host on the russell brand radio show and more than held his own.
2 congelado 2015-05-06
Not everyone is willing to put aside their principles for money, Opie you fucktwat. If these guys are related by blood and still don't get along do you think a stack of cash will change that
1 melexmaster 2015-05-06
I can't WAIT for the contract to be over so Jimmy can speak his mind. Poor Jimmy
56 ChestRockwell11 2015-05-06
Fuck Jimmy. He signed on the dotted line knowing how much of a cunt Opie is.
29 Lilcumia 2015-05-06
Exactly. Jim had a choice. He literally sold out. He's also co-host making him responsible for half this abortion
24 Louis_cks_boat 2015-05-06
and the worst part is he still thinks hes above other sell outs
12 BeerCanThick 2015-05-06
And that he has something of substance to say when people get harassed online or lose their jobs for violating a left-wing speech code.
Jimmy is the first guy popping off about every comedic speech issue on FOX and in Time magazine. Jim's partner and friend of 15 years got fired over "naughty things" on Twitter and he kept working for the station that fired Ant via email over holiday weekend, barred Ant from the building and hung up Wild West style "Wanted" posters of Ant. After all that, Jim finished out his contract and then signed another 2 year contract with that company. He's got no authority or credibility on the subject. None whatsoever. But he's the first one running off at the mouth to try to get some shine and spotlight time off it.
3 thecrazing 2015-05-06
I missed this. Was this in their offices?
3 monkdick 2015-05-06
From what I understood of it, these were placed around the Sirius building announcing that Ant was not allowed access to the premises.
6 kevin121312 2015-05-06
yeah, just admit you sold out. He gets annoyed when the MTA won't admit that they are scared of muslim attacks. He should just say that he wanted the bigger payday with more stability.
10 kevin121312 2015-05-06
To be fair, what was his choice? Stay where he knew what the money was gonna be and knew that there was going to be a show every day OR do a show at 4pm in a basement then have to rush out and go do sets. I can't blame him for sticking with Sirius, it's much more stable there.
2 Louis_cks_boat 2015-05-06
Everybody would've done it for the money but he's still calling out jizzbags for selling out, preaching about integrity and free speech
2 kevin121312 2015-05-06
Yeah, he's definitely a hypocrite.
22 Zenaesthetic 2015-05-06
Who's to say he won't just up and re-sign again? How is it going to be any different from signing the first time. He knew what was in store for the show, he knew about how bad it was gonna suck, but he went ahead and did it anyway because he wanted the easy money. I have a hard time seeing him do anything differently this time around. He literally shows up for four hours a day, four days a week (sometimes less when he's out of town) for millions of dollars, and has the rest of the day to jerk off.
17 telemecanique 2015-05-06
I can't WAIT until you realize jim had his chance to walk and is a sleazeball instead
5 ucfgavin 2015-05-06

2 bcb77 2015-05-06

5 kevin121312 2015-05-06
ME (after current contract): I don't know maaan, I thought Jimmy and I had good chemistry and so did management. It hurts that he left to be with Ant and is now saying that I was an asshole to him and the rest of the staff, but whatever, I wish him all the best and maybe we'll do radio again.
15 Slette 2015-05-06

You people are dumber than a god damn box of rocks. Opie hasn't left any amount of money on the table. If anything he got a salary increase after Anthony was fired and he just bought a 7 million dollar apartment in Trump towers. Rest assured you neck bearded goons opies checking account is just fine. He might be an idiot but I don't see where he's left money on the table by not getting along with Anthony.
2 kevin_k 2015-05-06
It's ironic that he finds incredulous the idea that they aren't working together because they don't get along.
1 TakesTheWrongSideGuy 2015-05-06
They aren't working together because Anthony was fired. Different circumstances. Also Opie didn't leave anything on the table. He lost nothing.
2 kevin_k 2015-05-06
You're super-pedantic. They aren't in the same studio every morning because Anthony got fired. Opie hasn't appeared on Ant's show, and probably skipped Colin's thing that Ant was at, because they don't like each other.
Fans of the show would have loved a joint appearance, and they don't get one because they don't like each other.
0 TakesTheWrongSideGuy 2015-05-06
Relax Kevin neither one of them is dead and friendships are often restored with time.
And isn't the conversation in reference to two brothers from the band Oasis? I'd still argue that two brothers arguing is a bit different than a friendship. Also again nothing got left on the table. An Opie and Anthony reunion isn't going to draw money like a oasis reunion especially when Opie is still making seven figures a year.
1 kevin_k 2015-05-06
I'm plenty relaxed. I just posted a line that more than a few others saw the irony in. Nobody said it was the exact same situation, and you keep insisting that it can't be about money though nobody has claimed that it is.
0 TakesTheWrongSideGuy 2015-05-06
Actually they have. The two brothers not getting along and reuniting Oasis is costing them money. That was opies quote about leaving money on the table. However Opie just got a pay increase. It would be ironic had the split cost Opie or Anthony any money, but they've both claimed to be making more. So it's not ironic at all.
1 kevin_k 2015-05-06
Ok, you're right. Hey everyone that got it and thought it was funny - we were wrong. It's not.
1 TakesTheWrongSideGuy 2015-05-06
What's that prove? It's a sub that hates Opie and looks at nothing concerning him objectively. But your right it was laugh out loud hilarious even if the situations are entirely different.
-3 Raffles01 2015-05-06
you all need to fucking relax, it took him a minute to get what jim was referring too. who gives a fuck, i did my 20 years was funny

-4 Rondog01 2015-05-06
