Could you imagine Neil Degrasse Tyson saying he was "smart and a good scientist" or Bill Gates saying he was "smart and a good CEO"? It's pretty clear to most people that saying something like that, non-sarcastically, implies the opposite of what the speaker is stating. Example: Fredo in Godfather II saying "I'm, smaht Michael, I'm smart and I deserve respect!"

Was Opie trying to tell us that he dreamt that, as a child, he knew a brother and sister. Opie was closer to the brother. The brother died tragically, in a car accident - after years of struggling with liquid on the brain. The liquid on his brain was treated by draining it through holes in the skull. However, the sister (whom Opie shared bus rides with through high school) married Alex Trebek.
Sam didn't listen and has evidently been paying the price ever since, how dare he and Jimmy turn it fun by referencing Steve when these gems are being dispensed.
This has got to be some sort of meta-trolling at this point from the Opster to increase traffic about O&J here. It goes back to what Sam used to say in jocktober; Some shows just remain so bland that there's nothing to pin them on. With Opie doing something unnecessarily worthless like this he's guaranteed at least 30 people open links of the show, and VOILA We got numbersss brothaman!!
