Maybe it's better for non-O&A fans. I don't know. I'm really not impressed by this special. I just feel like I've heard all this before on the radio. It's far too topical. Half the shit he's talking about is already outdated or was forgotten about. No one gives a fuck about Donald Sterling anymore. He also told his "Goin to the gym and eatin batter" Ozzy story from 2 or so years ago. This special is just not very funny to me.

I have always enjoyed Jimmy when I've seen him in a small club and of course he was great on O&A, but I really don't like his delivery when he's in a theater setting. It feels so forced right now. He's just saying the same thing over and over for an hour about "nation of tattletales" and harping on free speech and racism. I want to like this special, and I watched it, but I really wish he'd do something different for a change. Maybe a special like Bob Kelly's most recent special in a small room and focus on personal stories instead of covering the news from the last year in a one hour special.

I just know that Jim is better than this and when he tells stories from his life, instead of telling his opinion on things in the news, he does so much better I think. This special just feels like the last 3 or 4 and that's really not a good thing.

To be fair, don't you listen to the guy every day or have been listening to him every day for years? I think we hear a lot of his material or topics in studio.

Yeah, that's why I prefaced it saying maybe it's funnier to non-O&A fans. I just really don't think it's very good. The topical stuff is my biggest issue and always will be. Until he mentioned it tonight, I had completely forgotten about the Donald Sterling incident. I imagine most people have too. He also continues to pepper in his outdated Apocalypse Now and other 40 year old movie references throughout this special.

This is really good. I'm not a huge fan of Jimmys stand up, I enjoy it, just not as much as I like him on O&A. But he's made some big strides, good for him.

I'm kind of pissed at the NHL's playoff schedule. The Islanders played last night, but it would have been entertaining to know that Opie couldn't watch his friend and partner, nor watch his hockey team fight for The Stanley Cup because he had to watch the Bruce Jenner special.

ME: Look man Jimmys my guy, but this Bruce Jenner thing is what everyone's going to be talking about. It's going to do big numbahs!

Does this hilarious theoretical happenstance occur in a world where DVR was not invented?

Opie's got two kids, and a few reality shows are running every night.

There's no time to watch shit from a DVR.

Go Boychuk!

To my surprise, I can actually watch this right on the website.
