If Ant was booked on a show then the show cancelled him because of his tweets wouldn't you call bullshit? Wanna know what really happened?

Opie and Jim think Ants tweets WERE racist and do not want to put themselves in a position to defend him because they can't/won't.

Everyone saying they were right to cancel him must only want people they like to say what they want and people they don't to be silenced. A SJW pretty much.

If he came on and Opie and Jim allowed him to express his thoughts then they would get shit for that too. I'm getting bored of the blind hate for the show, our opinions aren't going to change anything anyway so who really cares.

This sub sucks.

It has nothing to do with free speech. They aren't saying they don't want him on the show because of his opinions. They're saying they don't want to talk to him because he insulted their friend.

You annoy me.

How did he insult Ant?

They aren't calling for his job or orchestrating a witch hunt for the guy's tweets. It really is amazing how this place would have been fucking filled with people calling Opie a traitor and Jimmy a worm if they had brought him in studio. They cancel him and now the complaint is that they didn't debate the firing with him on air. ME: OH, IS THAT THE PROBLEM TODAY?!

Ant is saying what he wants as we speak. You're a fucking dunce for implying that he's not saying what he wants.

Bigots are free to have one hundred - not 99 but ALL 100 - percent of their first amendment rights. But I'm not obligated to let them have all of them at my fucking company. Go move to central Pennsylvania. I'm sure you'll find an employer out there that you can see eye to eye with.

They should have had him in studio and just smashed him for his dumb shit. It's not exactly hypocrisy because they aren't trying to get him fired.

To me it seemed like this was an opportunity for them to try and win back some of the fans that stopped listening because they were pissed the Opie and Jim re-signed. After Ant's blow up and then Opie's rebuttal, Opie and Ant have had some sort of truce between them (which they both talked about/tweeted about). Then, on Friday, Anthony shows up at SiriusXM to be on the show with Joe Rogan and Ari and Opie tweets that he wants management to let him on the show. Now, Opie and Jim have this guy booked for their show and then wait til the microphones are on to complain about him and cancel his appearance in defense of Anthony. This is all very calculated. If they didn't want this guy on the show they simply would have never booked him. They set this up to ingratiate themselves with the disgruntled segment of fans who turned on the show because they feel like Opie and Jim didn't do enough to save Ant's job.

That's the logical conclusion. I think you're curvy.

Wait, why did my phone change "correct" to "curvy?"

Something tells me it autocorrected because you sext with a lot of plus sized women and the word "curvy" gets tossed around a lot?

That's true.

With the amount of "thhhooooose people" jokes the opster throws out, he can't really be that upset about the racist stuff anthony did. I doubt him or jimmy had a moral objection to anthony's rantings, but they were probably legitimately worried about their jobs and also the quality of the show.

I'm super liberal and think anthony is crazy racist but the only thing that bothered me was when it wasn't funny, which was a lot toward the end. He needs to tone it down or make it funny.

I'm super liberal

Worst superhero ever.

I fly into the Koch mansion and say

"Hey, it would be really cool if you'd stop doing the stuff you're doing"

and then I see myself out

Bahahahahahaha

That's what the fans want.

It's lame.

Confronting him and the rest of the SJW Nerdmelt faggots would've been hilarious.

But it would've given Roland a heart attack.

What's wrong with giving Roland a heart attack?

Stairs could give Roland a heart attack.

Actually it's because any modicum of power Opie thought he had with management was imaginary.

Who around here thinks Sirius should have fired cumia?

Agreed. The hypocrisy is astounding. Ant should have been free to say what he wanted without repercussion, but this guy shouldn't be?

Way to make a point!

This reminds me of gays boycotting Chick-Fil-A because the CEO said he believed in traditional Christian marriage. Gays were demanding their lifestyle and beliefs be recognized, but the CEO's shouldn't be.

People are fucking morons.

The guy can say whatever he wants, but they don't have to let him do it on their show.

The guy can say whatever he wants, but they don't have to let him do it on their airwaves.

See how that shit can work? You either support free speech fully...or you don't.

I personally don't give a shit, but after watching people screaming 'INJUSTICE!' since last July on here, I find it amazing that people are applauding this move.

There's a big difference between canceling a guest and firing someone from their job. You know that.

Absolutely. But it's still the suppression of thought and opinion that opposes one's own viewpoint.

Since that's been the big talking point around Anthony's firing, this just seems a bit hypocritical. However, I see people saying that their reasoning was that he insulted their friend, so under that explanation I can see it being passable.

Chances are he wasn't going to talk about any of the Anthony stuff.

They simply didn't want to promote his show on their show because he was a dick about Ant. Sure his fans may not be happy, but I'm sure he has a ton of other stops on his press tour.

Ant got fired from his job of like a decade on satellite radio after a media witch hunt resulting from his assault.

Yeah the difference here I guess is the closeness to the situation. Like they wouldn't keep him from going on Bennington or something but since it's their show and Ant was their Co host it's the right thing to turn him down.

You're too dumb to have strong opinions on things. Just listen to other people instead.
