Nice of Salon to keep up the excessive media coverage of Louis CK. He was just shooting the shit with some old radio chums but of course they have to sell it as a big "reveal".
Even when he supposedly fucks up (like his "vile Twitter rant" about Sarah Palin), the man can do no wrong. Come on, he apologized and he justified it with some great life advice about why people should spend less time online!
Once you prove to the liberal establishment that you aren't a racist/homophobe/misogynist deep down on the inside, they let you say whatever you want. That's why Louis gets a pass: they allow each other to tell themselves he doesn't really mean it. That was Ant's mistake. If he had just pretended to be liberal and ended every 10th rant with "but this is all for the radio. I'm playing a character, trying to provoke people", he would have been fine.
