How many times do you think the WOW thing actually worked?

I had a wow sticker on my car in 2001 and 2002. I got flashed a lot but the girls were never good looking.

about how many girls?

Probably only around a dozen. but that's a dozen more than would have flashed me if I didn't have the sticker

maybe you should try the uncle paul candy approach

When were they actually running this bit? I know WOW has hung around on stickers and in the phone number, but when were they actually trying to say "It's Whip 'Em Out Wednesday" to get women to flash, and when did that stop? Did they disown it or say it's hack shock-jockery at any point?

Interesting I would like to know also. My guess is liar Opie quitely retired it cause it actually almost never worked.

I did like the stickers though.

I would also like Ant to honestly answer about the ending of the "Virus Spreading across America"

During the WNEW days (syndication) I lived in Sacramento and had a WOW sticker...was flashed 10+ times, and it didn't matter what day it was. WOW = Whip 'Em Out Whenever.

You're a retard.

hot tits actually showed you them based on a sticker?

I am sorry but I think you are more retarded than I am.

Live in NYC - been listening since 1998.

The WOW stickers were everywhere - commercial trucks, personal cars, lockers, etc. Whether or not we agree with its aim, it was a very popular thing.

As far as how well it worked - people used to call the show regularly just to say, "some girls just flashed me because I have a WOW sticker." O&A would always ask where/when and would always alert the audience to it being Wednesday. It always felt real - and it seemed like it was extremely successful.

The show stepped away from WOW when they went to XM. They still used it but they did not actively promote it. I believe there were XM stickers with the WOW promotion.

WOW officially went dormant when the show moved to SXM. I don't think there are SXM stickers and they rarely (if ever) talk about it. IIRC, management claimed the promotion was a legal problem - asking women to flash could cause accidents, isn't PC, yadda yadda.

well I have no doubt the stickers did well i still like the way they look.

It always felt real

so did 5 member boy bands during this time with their own attitudes that reflected how they dressed black or white

Backstreet Boys, Nsync, O-Town, Jagged Edge, 112, Jonas brothers with promise rings cooked up by promoters and managers and magazines wrote about the promise rings like they were virgins who werent getting their dicks sucked every night.

And WOW is obviously a legal problem but most likely a liar(OPIE) used it to get out of the stupid barely working thing.

If it worked as well as Opie the known liar says then I would be very surprised but 5 member boy bands black and white worked on the general public then so maybe it might have.

maybe

This may be one of the dumbest things I have ever read on this sub...

Backstreet Boys, Nsync, O-Town, Jagged Edge, 112, Jonas brothers with promise rings

you have nothing else to say to me cause they worked over and over and over again.

You are just to stupid to equate the 2

Not to mention Opie talked about the promise rings like they were real many times

Enjoy you WNEW non stop laughing opie at nothing funny and happey to be there anthony.

the dumbest thing anyone could ever read is someone falling for "Wow Stickers"

I am second at best.

It seemed like the kind of thing that back in the WNEW days actually worked. I was pretty young back in the WNEW days so I wasn't aware of the show but I remember seeing WoW stickers everywhere in North Jersey. I still see WoW stickers now and again on work vans.

Listening back to the callers in that era it seemed pretty genuine and that's backed up by people in this thread.

It seemed like they stopped it when they went to mornings. They still supported it with the WoW bumper stickers but it wasn't promoted as Whip Em Out Wednesday.

It was probably a lot harder to get women to do it in the mornings and by 2004 more and more people were getting broadband and having access to tits on the internet made it a lot harder to get people excited about a vague promise of tits from a radio show. The last time I remember O and A promoting WoW was probably late 2007 or early 2008, they weren't really doing the whip em out just mentioning it and the stickers.

People would call in every week saying someone flashed them on the road. This was the WNEW days.

I am really conflicted on something like this. For some reason constantly laughing Opie at nothing funny and Happy to be there Ant with non stop voices some how became big because really stupid people thought they were entertaining and it lead to them being millionaires.

If that can happen then I guess wow can happen but seriously fuck humanity for making any of this shit popular enough for Opie to make millions.

Note: Ant is much better than he was.

The show was by far at its best back then though. They both gave a shit and it showed in the quality of their shows.

they both gave a shit but they both sucked.

You are a bit confused and I understand nostalgia does make things way better to a young mind. It's encoded in you so you can't help it and I don't blame you. But your neurons are stupid.

I have a stack of XM WOW stickers sitting 2 feet from me still.

Edit : And this, from before when mommy and daddy split and started to share custody :*(

why do people actually like famous signatures or pictures when the person signing or taking a pic doesn't give 2 shits about you? I have never had one and never intended to get one.

Why do you and Jimmy like them?

It's a conversation piece. I don't have a thing for autographed items.

And to answer your question, it assisted in a handful of tit-flashes. More often than not it was just a honk and a wave to someone else with a sticker on the road, as I got into the show around 2005. Kind of a "hey, you're a scumbag as well" acknowledgment.

I feel that post-WNEW it was gimmick-removed, more of just a regular bumper sticker to promote the show.

for a couple years now I was convinced the WOW thing never really worked but unless you are a couple of accounts responding to this post then I guess it did more than I thought it did besides being a cool looking sticker.

So i changed my flair for a while

"I was wrong Opie's WOW actually worked"

not that anyone will give a shit or will and I should be downvoted to oblivion but if it worked and Opie was behind it I guess I gotta give the cunt props.

ButtStillFuckHim

In my area tons of truckers would write WOW on the back of their trucks in the dirt. I would routinely see it.

It was definitely a show promotion kind of thing more than a "show me your tits" kind of thing. And yeah, I'd say it worked.

I have said it several times in this post already I like the stickers but my post is about how well WOW worked.

How many tits were actually whipped out on wednesdays for the sticker?

Got flashed twice in 2002. One set was nice the other less than.

Six

How could opie be in two places at once?

I give it about 4

After Opie admitting to lying to his fans, I have to question everything now. Who knows how deep his lies go.
