Scorch's new show has a monologue. Scorch's new show has a monologue.

14:35 for one of the greatest bombs I've ever seen in my life.

They didn't put in the canned laughter in there either to pump it up. 17:28 for another cringe moment - the guy offers to do an impression & Scorch isn't even listening, he's just looking at his laptop.

edit: Another great one - Scorch: 'When you were a kid did you know you had this inane talent'....A Scorchian slip.

The Crypt Keeper impression is now my favourite part of the internet.

Scorch was not fucking listening at all lol

He comes from the Opie school of radio

I love that they only really use the canned laughter to pump up Scorch's jokes.

I had to stop it. I felt so bad for him.

Oh dear God, his Matthew Mcconaughey...

They even kept the camera on his face so we all got to watch him just marinate in it.

jesus christ, that was horrendous

i can't tell if the camera staying on him is better or worse. good lord i missed scorch.

Yikes.

He was just riffin' tsss tsss

Green wit envy.

That was really fucking rough.

and the setup was defcon 1

That's the greatest thing I've ever seen

I was just going to post that then I see this at #1 comment - fucking golden, someone needs to loop that

Sadly, this is more entertaining than OpieRaqio

And has better camerawork than TACS.

This KILLS OpieRaqio. Opie wishes he was this entertaining.

In a strange way Scorch is truly talented. There are countless anti-comics that work really really hard at being this brilliantly awful and don't come close to this.

All I can think when watching this is, 'this has to be intentional'. Everything about it from the nobody guests to the inhumanely fake sounding laugh track to the terrible terrible banter. It's all so perfectly horrible I can't believe they weren't even trying to make it that way.

tim and eric couldnt recreate this if they tried.

he uses the same stupid slow starting clap applause, like theres one guy who just knows when to perfectly start the clap.

even scorch has a visual element

The great thing is, Scorch isn't in the joke. He doesn't even think there's something to be "in" on. He's brilliant and the whole world knows it. That's why his app got downloaded 17 million times.

He'll never be spoiled by somebody telling him he's a joke so he becomes self-aware and wrecks it. He's the most gleefully oblivious person in entertainment history.

This has to be the worst use of a laugh track ever. Big Bang Theory writers are laughing at this probably.

Edit: Holy shit the moment he ends the monologue then literally walks a foot, goes around the table that was behind him the whole time and sits down. Just like Fallon.

Edit 2: http://i.imgur.com/fNS0Afn.jpg

He's talking to a wall but still thinks the laugh track is a good idea.

Also note the stack of papers on his laptop keyboard. He put a laptop there as a prop and still used paper notes instead of using the laptop. Laptop.

I'd hate to walk through the door with a chain curtain, everytime you go through it smashes your face up.

I can't stop laughing at the notes on the laptop. Holy shit, I gotta watch this whole show now.

It's so telling how he only "pumps up" his own jokes with the canned laughter/applause, and does nothing to help out his guests. Like the old episodes where he would ask the guest a question, only to talk over them with his own banal bullshit, but on a whole new level.

How does Scorch make a living? Does anyone know? How does this guy not just die of hunger and thirst?

Scorch is a hustler. I've always loved the Scorch bits on O&A and a few years ago when he relaunched PFGTV he mentioned something about promoting bands, immediately it struck me how funny it would be (although pretty much only to me) if I could get the band I played in at the time mentioned by Scorch. I sent Scorch an email and got a reply the same night quoting prices in the hundreds of dollars, saying that promoting the band as one of PFGTV's sponsors would be a great investment because the show was watched worldwide. Obviously I just thought "fuck that" and forgot about it till a few weeks later when I saw Scorch had enlisted no less than 5 bands to promote their dates or website addresses on PFGTV.

Scorch is a hustler

This. I remember Sam or Opie saying something along the lines of "Scorch gets people to believe". He has to have carny blood in his veins somewhere. If this was the 1880's, Scorch would be going from town to town, selling elixirs and tonics out of the back of his wagon before getting out of Dodge while the getting's good.

I can never quite figure out whether Scorch believes he's made it, and really does think he has millions of fans, or if he knows he's lucky to get viewers in the double digits and it's all absolute carny shit.

I think it's a mix of the two. He absolutely has to know that he isn't as good as he likes to make everyone believe. If you got a couple beers into him, I think you'd get him to admit it. But to be a 'personality', you have to have an ego and think you're the best.

He definitely believes in the power of positive thinking and making vision boards and shit like that, though. "If I say it enough, it's gonna come true." I don't doubt that he think that his move out to California just means he's that much closer to Hollywood and all the entertainment people out there just waiting to stumble over his show.

He works for some rock station in California

I think its actually an internet radio show.

It absolutely is; they have three affiliates (in the smallest markets imaginable - Durado, CO is one of them)

I'd love to see Anthony Cumia go to work for some terrestrial station.

Even D-list radio hosts make decent money.

I live in the same market as Scorch's radio station, and it's one of the most expensive places to live in the entire United States. Scorch is definitely getting paid semi-decently if he's working in San Diego.

SOME ARE ODD AND SOME DERANGED... (4:10)

Where the fuck is Sibby?

If you're looking for a real answer, Scorch is out in California now (in or near San Diego, I think) and ol' Sibby's probably back in Boston/Manch Vegas.

15:59 is a pretty decent cringe moment. Scorch delivers a zinger with laugh track included and the Idaho guy gives the most literal answer ever.

Scorch is one of those so bad, it's good kind of things. Meanwhile, Dopie doesn't have fucking shit on Scorch in terms of any entertainment value.

I love that the comments are disabled in the video. Rupert doesn't want us to point out the "gems" in this vid.

His ad breaks are enraging, I want kick that toothpick through the back of his head.

He just breaks down how to put beer in a cooler and put pizza in the oven, it's horrendous. "Lucky Buddah byeer"

I'm so grateful that the "pub crawl" breaks assure the viewers that "We'll be right back with more!" because otherwise I would've been really depressed.

He really thinks he's killing it with his salesmanship, makes me sick

the guy in the suit is worse than scorch. what a dweeb. his face always looks like hes about to have explosive diarrhea

Who the fuck is this Shelby? Lord Dougman W Godspeed for announcer, or gtfo.

I too was disappointed that Lord Dougman W. Godspeed was a no show.

http://red13media.com/our-studio/the-team/douglas-shanley/

He looks like Dave Mustaine crossed with Kurgan from Highlander.

Poor Scorch.

Why doesn't he have a show on Opie Radio yet?

Okay, it's become obvious that he's now self-aware and purposely doing douche-chill TV and that usually ruins it. however...

...and I'm not joking or exaggerating but he's doing it so well that I'm seriously more entertained by this than Opies non self-aware bad radio.

"but being atheists... we all ... know, they don't (trails off) have a prayerlets do some TV".
Yuchhhhhh but I can't stop watching it either glrrrrrg

Yeah, for me this is in the "I don't even care if it's on purpose, he's doing bad so well it's fantastic" class.

Scorch should riff on clips of Opie Raqio.

That would be amazing. Fight back against dumb Opie thinking he is better than old Scorch.

17:50 - "If you wanna see something really scary look at Scorch" followed by "I'm just kidding" 3X. Oof.

I can't tell if scorch's dead pan was him acting insulted, or if he really was insulted and tried to play it off

I hope that Gail Zappa sues the fuck out of scorch for using Franks music for his shitty intro.

14:35 this guy should do what Ernest Hemingway did in idaho after that bomb

The trauma of having just said the worst Idaho joke I've ever heard.

Pretty fucking good great!

"Medi Mike"....get it?

marijuana

You gotta admit, he had the voice of an angel tho.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1050&v=bUqywWD9AtUt=17m18s is the best moment ive ever seen in anything

Scorch's new show has a monologue?

WEIRD NEWZ!!!!!!

I love how he starts talking about three seconds before walking into frame.

There is something wrong with the guy in the suits face

So he just launders money through this business or something? I don't get how this works. No joke. Can someone explain?

for sure the most atrocious looking set of all time, looks like its in the back of a tire shop.

WEIRD NEWS!!!!

This douche is filming at what used to be a great punk bar.

I'm gonna drink the shit out of Lucky Buddha Beer.

I only wish O&A were together just for this

He looks like GG Allin's dead corpse.

Does he realize how fucking horrible he looks? Good lord, I've seen actual bums who looks cleaner.

He's doing the Friday show.

The Boston guy on the streets thing is the greatest segment in television history. He makes Florentine look like Wayne Brady (and they cut some of the questions mid-response, which is amazing).

What is with that shitty intro music?

1:52 - Ohhh My

Hahaha this is great

29:50 - Robert De Niro.

This is amazing. Hashtag inane talent

so fucking hilariously bad, quoting any single part of it is doing any injustice to how bad the whole of it is. He's like the ed wood of talk show hosts.

Medi Mike sounds like a progeria kid

another nice turd dropped at 23:20 "elephant trunk and a coin purse"

Scorch comments after the Cumia firing

I don't know why but I found it entertaining to even listen to the ads

This is comedy caviar. Truly spectacular.

A telemarketer joke in the first 3 minutes. Scorch you are forever a dreamer with no clue. Dude just won't give up. Scorch is my favorite bad thing that isn't actually trying to be bad.

"Can you name two Kuhdashian sistuhs".

Far and above more entertaining than O&J.

Does he always have a tooth pick in his stupid mouth? What a jerk off. Still better than Opie though. Burp.

One year he apparently wrote off $5,000 worth of toothpicks as a business expense.

http://imgur.com/0ivyAZP timely reference

That new Scorch logo in the background is great.

Lucky Buddah Beer does not look like a winner. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/15898/36237/

"Something my dad had in the fridge at his place cuz he "thought it was cool." Looks like piss. Smells of pungent apple cider vinegar, faint hint of acid. Tastes like a watered-down rancid apple juice. Down the drain it's going unless my fiance like it! 1/10"

"This beer smells like someone put roadkill in a bathroom. There is no aftertaste. I think it's trying to be a peroni but it doesn't live up to that"

"This one is really bad. Smells like a urinal."

Are Scorch and Sam related ? Very similar tone to their voice.

Sam used to work with Scorch, it's like Opie with Brother Wease.
