Can someone explain Vic "Vickerson" Henley to me...

I tuned in for 5 minutes today (I know, I know, but nothing else was on and I'm caught up on TACS) and the first thing I hear is Vic Henley's voice. Am I missing something with this guy? Does anyone find him funny? How has nobody on the show ever pointed out that he is the real life Chip Chipperson? He makes horrible jokes and then makes the Chip laugh after each. There are people who are legitimately funny/talented, who they have on once and don't invite back, but they'll have Vic Henley on fairly regularly. Todd Barry's one appearance gave me more laughs than all of Vic Henley's combined. Thankfully, Chuck called in and I reflexively changed the station. I can see them using him for days like today because he gets Ron White in, but is there any reason to have him on when he's alone?

I don't know but all I want to say is fuck Joe DeRosa

Vic Henley makes Joe DeRosa look like Richard Pryor.

Because he's not white?

The hugbox mentality of comedy really bothers me, comedians will never tell each other they suck because they're afraid someone else will say the same thing about them. Plus they never know who will be next to get a TV show and they need to keep sucking dick so they can get a role from someone they know.

For what it's worth, I've heard him do at least one good appearance on Ron and Fez.

I'll have to listen to his Ron and Fez appearances, because it's hard for me to believe he's funny. When he's with Ron White, he just kinda acts as his hype man. "Ron, remember that one time..."

He tries too hard to interject himself into everything and it's annoying. He's also not funny.

The thread isn't about Opie

He stinks and he always does one of my comedy pet peeves which is repeating the punchline right after it bombs. Right after it bombs...

Without trying to be ironic

Well, Blue Collar Comedy passed so Opie swooped him up. Called it a "big get" for the show

I think he's pretty funny.
