I don't think it would really be a surprise if Anthony's subscriptions are down. It's got to be difficult to keep your name out there when you're not a comedian/actor/radio host without a huge platform. I imagine that's why the whole Opie shenanigans went down, and I can't really fault him for it.

I guess the line of thinking is: "Why would Ant care about Opie fighting for his job so bad if he was doing well?" If O&A was by his own admission strictly business and he didn't particularly enjoy working with Opie on a personal level, then building resentment over the loss of that brand seems to indicate he was better off there. It was also probably fueled by Ron Bennington choosing to continue with Sirius instead of joining Ant.

To me, there's really no way of knowing unless Ant just tells us, which I don't see why he would/should do.

So, I have been following this issue since TACS began, because I have been interested.

• Before they fixed the bug on the live stream site, it was possible to see live views, and total views. Live views on shows averaged around 40k, total views around 100k (the latter probably included multiple viewings)

• I was privy to TACS sub traffic stats until recently. These are certainly anecdotal. But using common sense, and looking at unique/total page views, you can come to a reasonable conclusion (subscriber counts are way off in the down direction). Keep in mind this was before the recent blowup, which would have skewed the numbers. So what I was looking at were the cleaner numbers.

• Jim said before "Anthony is making lots of cash"

• Bro Joe on a random USTREAM before Christmas said that Anthony was making more money than his Sirius XM contract

• Anthony confirmed a post I made before Christmas speculating about sub #s.

• There is a way to get a decent estimate of Livestream figures.

All in all, adding everything up, and subtracting certain things, the reasonable estimate is that he is sitting on 45-55,000 subs, each paying ~6$/m avg. Including advertising, other sources of revenue, deducting estimated expenses, he is doing very well.

If hes anywhere near 55,000 hes fucking killing it.

Advertisements and merch should cover the bandwidth cost so hes basically making 100% profit.

It's obvious that with making the WOG show free to everyone, Anthony was trying to draw in new fans because the numbas aren't where he needs them. The truth is, there are many other free entertainment options that are much better than TACS (and O&J for that matter). As much fun as watching Pockmarked Peter Pan and his yes men laugh at offensive songs like it's 2006, I let my sub expire (a sub so early I even got a t-shirt), and I doubt I'm alone.
