ME: I didn't read it, but i had my people give me bullet points. Sam isn't here yet so there are a few words Im having trouble pronouncing, but once he clears that up I'll give you my side of things.
I love it! This attitude is exactly why my money goes to TACS and SiriusXM keeps calling to give me 6 months free or some bullshit to come back and I still say fuck them!
His brother was sending it to radio stations, and just the music. Opie was the one who actually put him on the air and gave him a chance as talent. You really think he would have developed into the talent he is if he never got that chance? At most he would have played a few more gigs.
Opie mentioned on the show before that he was incredibly surprised no one had picked up Ant at the time so he jumped on the chance... it's not like Opie was some radio guru at the time.
If someone teaches you how to drive, and then 20 years later you go on to be a successful NASCAR driver, do you owe that person your career? (hint: no, you don't)
I never said it wasn't a partnership. You might want to remind Ant of that, though, because he's sure acting like it was all him and that he was responsible for all the good that happened.
His business partner viewed his July firing as an "opportunity to move on" and regarding standing up for Ant said, "I didn't give it my all." Tell me why Ant shouldn't be livid about those statements.
"Although they maintain separate residences, the radio host and his long-time companion seem to be inseparable. Within the confines of his fastidious bachelor pad, Cumia and Maresca bicker over the cleanliness of a piece of fruit like an old married couple..."
He has addressed it a few times, even just the other day when talking to Ralph Sutton. He said Keith was booking him and he was saying yes to everything to increase exposure. He claims he had no idea what he was getting into and Keith doesn't deny that he didn't really look into the people offering to give him a place to promote. Whether that is true or Keith just willingly jumped on the landmine who knows, but those are ol' Ant's thoughts behind that one. I also think that since he has no problem admitting he jumps on stormfront from time to time lends credence to the idea it might be true.
If he thinks his partner betrayed him, why shouldn't he shout it from the rooftops? Think about it. If Opie had actually given it his all to stand up for Ant (say, gone on Fox News a la Patrice to defend his character), then maybe he'd still have his job or at least not be considered such a pariah. But his partner COMPLETELY hung him out to dry.
Ant should not and will not cower in his basement. He's a man with nothing to lose. He's 54 years old with a bad heart. He has no wife and kids. He's been poor and is not afraid of it. Go out guns blazing.
Alright, not the best thought out design. Hence putting people in place that are better at the things I'm not. Are they collectors items yet? I do have a few.
Hide the swastikas, tone down the race rants, publicly attack your former partner, deceivingly imply you hired Ron... none of it will matter. The content you produce is uninteresting to the general public, and your comedic talent is dwindling. That is why your little basement show is dying. I suggest you try to at least have some dignity while going down.
Anthony is going to reveal the name has chosen when his transformation is complete.
Edit: My apologies, I'm being told that is the April 24 Bruce Jenner tell all interview with Diane Sawyer and not the Anthony interview with Newsweek...
I won't be surprised at all if Opie pussies out and doesn't bother to do an interview. He'd be blowing a big opportunity to promote his shit show and to use this whole situation as leverage to get new listeners.
I totally agree with you - it's a smart move. It's just funny how some folks who bitched about Opie doing similar things would support this (not you, the dummies who do I mean).

I just think it's sad that the partnership had to go south before you guys could finally get a decent article written about you.
And even if people want to argue that it's not a fair article, they went and published the transcripts of all three entire interviews. It doesn't get much more transparent than that.
Ant how many subs do you have to your show? Are you desperate for attention? Is it getting a little shaky over at TACS? Your push for a "radio war" (what year is this?) and the failure at getting Ron seem like desperate moves.

And Opie would be hosting "Opie and Dave with Marta" on a Lite FM station in Allentown, Pennsylvania if he hadn't found Anthony. It was a partnership.
