He is hateable because he can't have a conversation without using patronizing quips. "Might want to look that up..." He'll never be able to understand why people find him insufferable.
This was the defining moment of the show for me. When it became clear there was going to be no compromise by Opie.
The other critical moments was when it became clear he has entirely conflated Anthony and random tweets/comments by the 'haters' (aka 90% of his fans), and got all of information 2nd-hand from people he knows. So instead of actually listening to the TACS show and taking time to really understand what Ant was saying, he only read the surface comments, which makes anything he could say in response very superficial.
Opie might as well wear a big t-shirt that says "I'm not aware of the results of my actions" and flit around the room for 4 hours a day like the big faggot that he is.
I like how he tried to turn it back on Jimmy, like "so do you!". Such a queer. Then he weasels his way out saying he didn't know how to talk to Antony (when everyone else on the Show seemed to be fine w/ talking with him) and some lame irritable depression.
Probably the most honest, real, and potentially helpful thing Norton has ever directly said to him, and even though he's trying to show himself as a humble guy who's being honest here, Opie does what he always does. Deflects, points the finger back at Jim. There were a few moments of honesty that made me feel for Gregg a bit on this show. But there were also moments like this that eradicated those feelings. It's not just that he turns it around on Jim, but it's the vibe I get that he didn't even for one second consider that this was a flaw of his specifically that was bad for the show.
Props to Jim on this show. I thought he handled the situation well, and I was armed and ready with my pitchfork. We'll just have to wait and see if he stops going on Ant's show because of this.
Like I said, I'm listening to the classic stuff. The ones where we thought Opie wouldn't sell his on-air partner down the road and we believed all the Howard Stern BS. A person like that would be on the show's shit list.
Hell, I wonder if there'll be a billboard dedicated to Corporate Cunt just like with Jim Philips.
I still Stern is a shitstain. See his AGT photos on Dawg Saloon. No wonder I don't visit that site anymore. Fucking cringey.
I sympathize with people who suffer from depression and i understand their struggles etc etc, but this fucko does NOT have depression. He's obsessed with himself and that's it. He gets pissy eyed when things don't go HIS way.

Say what you want, Mr. Blaster. In the end, Opie wasn't the problem.

"i don't feel like my mood dictates the mood of the room anymore"
... that's not up to you to decide, you fucking retard. i wish jimmy had the balls to confront this aggressive stupidity constantly expressed by opie.

Realizing that Opie was the same then as he is now retroactively ruins all the classic stuff. That's the only real tragedy here.

Wow, I can tell how scared Jim was to say that.
1 aria_taint 2015-04-08
Need to put together a pool on when Jimmy is going to on-air snap and just unload on Ensure tits. I don't give it long.
