How we know Opie is lying about wanting to quit over the years

Opie keeps saying he planned to quit multiple times over the years. According to yesterday's show it was always about Anthony...

He says every time his agent or whoever around him was like are you an idiot you're going to make so much money. And he acts like his attitude was "fuck the money I have to do what's right for me!" or some other pseudo-moral shit.

But how many examples do we have where any time a guest talks about taking some moral stand Opie can't even wrap his head around it. As if any choice other than what gets you the most money is ridiculous.

He can claim he says things like that for the radio all he wants that's clearly his instinctual reaction and where his mind immediately goes.

tl;dr Opie is a liar and was never going to quit when there was money to be made

He claims he never put the show staff's livelihood in danger by refusing to sign the contracts but then admits he threatened to leave the show over the years a bunch of times.

Even as recently as 2 years ago, before this current contract, he said he was walking. He said something about doing air checks for WPLJ during these current contract negotiations. And the more we learn, the more that 13 Euclid post gets vindicated. For all we know he already signed a contract in July without telling anybody.

All the loyalty talk means jack. Opie is pretty disloyal to everyone he works with and it is hard for me to imagine somebody so autocratic and rude to people being all that loyal. Basically everyone who left the show left it on bad terms and the bad terms were because of Opie.

He'd throw every last producer in front of a train to keep his gig. Loyalty my ass. Was he loyal to Steve C when he berated a clinically depressed man so harshly and then underhandedly got him fired, spurring on his suicide?

What was 13 Euclid's post about?

The whole friendship angle is bullshit. I've worked with people for years and never been to their house or seen their kids. How many times has Opie been to Travis' house?

You can work with people and not be asshole buddies that hang out all the time after work. He's worked with Anthony longer as "not best friends" than he ever did when they were close.

Well, no shit.

The same guy that said he was willing to walk over issues with Anthony multiple times and was willing to "fuck the money" said that he HAD to stay after Anthony got fired because he has a family and needs the money.

Every time opie speaks, we are forced to ask ourselves "was he lying then, or is he lying now?"

The minute Lyndszii started to pop out kids there was no way he'd ever consider leaving.
