Over the years any time Ant would talk about his ex he would speak with nothing but vitriol. He would deny that he ever had any good times with her, that she had any redeeming qualities, or that any of the blame for the strained relationship fell on himself. I don't doubt he was honest about her being a bitch, I just thought it was obvious that his memory was clouded due to him coming out on the bad end of the break up. That's pretty much how I feel about his anger towards Opie at this point.

Sadly, pretty much spot on. I've been keeping this all about Opie, but Anthony hates confrontation, and goes along to get along, which doesn't help at all when you have a narcissist bulldozing around. It's not his fault, per se, it's how he is - and he did stand up to Opie at times, but he learned it just got him "Pissed Mist" and no eye contact for weeks.

So, Ant was complicit in bending over for a person acting like a child. Everyone in studio is. People like Opie are very easy to deal with and manipulate if you aren't also a grown baby.

If that weakness wasn't there, the show would have broken long ago and we'd be without several great bits
